Warzone 2 Season 2 Revamps Cash Economy & Buy Stations

Warzone 2 Season 2 will completely revamp the Cash Economy and Buy Stations in Al Mazrah. These changes will help players acquire items more easily and improve their overall quality of life.

As it stands, players find the cash distribution unfair to players returning from the Gulag. It leaves the players with no equipment and few resources to acquire more.

Thankfully, Infinity Ward looks to address these issues with the revamp coming to the Cash Economy and Buy Stations in Warzone 2 Season 2.

Warzone 2 Season 2 Improves Cash Economy

Warzone 2 Season 2 will lower the amount of cash earned from contracts and increase the base amount of cash found from ground loot to a minimum of $800 and Cash Registers to a minimum of $500.

This balance update aims to provide a more consistent cash flow for Warzone 2 players. The way cash is found is also seeing a few changes. Cash will no longer be found in basic and legendary Supply Boxes.

Players can find cash piles in the following locations:

  • Ground Loot
  • Containers
  • White Stronghold Supply Boxes

The newly revamped Gulag will also increase the cash reward and allow players to obtain cash from ground loot. This will improve the survivability of players redeployed from the Gulag.

To balance out these economic changes, Infinity Ward is also introducing a few changes to the Buy Stations in Al Mazrah.

Warzone 2 Season 2 Revamps Buy Station System

In Season 2, Buy Stations spawn stations are static across Al Mazrah, and players can purchase unlimited Loadout Drop Markers.

Primary Weapons and Loadout Drop Markers will also see a price reduction due to the new loadout drop changes coming to Warzone 2 Season 2.

As it stands, loadout drops and any killstreaks are expensive. For loadout drops, players need to pay:

  • Solos: $8,000
  • Duos: $16,000
  • Trios: $24,000
  • Quads: $32,000

Once players enter the gulag late in the game, the chances of recovering enough cash from purchasing your loadout are pretty low.

Cash becomes scarce after the first few opening minutes in a Warzone 2 match. Most players know where to obtain most of the cash, and once the main POIs are hit, other places won’t have much left.

It can make the end game frustrating for some players. If you can bring back your teammates, but they can’t afford to purchase a weapon or loadout, then it can leave them at a disadvantage.

Thankfully, these changes will address these issues and allow players to have a decent opportunity to regain resources and survive in Al Mazrah.
