Raven Software has disabled the Birdseye Perk and Revive Pistol in Al Mazrah on the latest Warzone 2 update due to some balancing issues they are addressing.
The Birdseye Perk will remain disabled until Raven sorts out these balance concerns ahead of the launch of customizable Perk Packages.
In the meantime, Warzone 2 will replace the Birdseye Perk in the Recon Perk Package with the Survivor Ultimate Perk. This perk automatically pings enemies that down you and allows you to be revived faster.
With the Revive Pistol, Raven Software has disabled it to investigate an ongoing issue where players could replicate the item, as shown in the video below. Although, many have also complained that it’s an unfair advantage for players to hold more than one of these items at a time.
This is probably why the Revive Pistol was disabled.— dolemitedawiz (@NoFilterGames) January 30, 2023
Gotta give @RavenSoftware & @InfinityWard credit, they’re quick with these scenarios for #ModernWarfareII pic.twitter.com/j7kLl0ZZLo
The game is undergoing plenty of changes before the launch of Season 2. Currently, the developer is doing its best to appeal to the community while keeping its original Warzone 2 vision intact.

Why Is the Birdseye Perk Disabled in Warzone 2?
Raven Software disabled the Birdseye Perk in Warzone 2 because it functions as an unlimited Advanced UAV for players. This provided an incredibly unfair advantage.
Because of this issue, the development team has decided to momentarily remove the Birdseye Perk while they look for ways to balance it out.
When Will the Birdseye Perk Return to Warzone 2?
The Birdseye Perk will likely return in Warzone 2 Season 2 alongside the launch of customizable perk packages. This means Birdseye will likely return on February 15th or sooner if the developers can find a way to balance it beforehand.
In the meantime, players may want to try the Vanguard or Specter Perk Packages until the customizable perk packages are added.
The Vanguard Perk Package has Double Time, Bomb Squad, Resupply, and High Alert. This gives players a boost to their gunfight capabilities while having High Alert to warn them if enemies are flanking them.
The Specter Perk Package has Double Time, Tracker, Spotter, and Ghost. This will make players undetectable by UAVs, Portable Radars, and Heartbeat Sensors.
Although the best perk package depends on your playstyle, so it’s a great idea to check them all out.
