Infinity Ward has officially revealed Warzone 2’s new Resurgence map, Ashika Island.
Less than a few months after its release, Warzone 2 is already getting a new small map that fans can play in addition to Al Mazrah.
Ashika Island will be the first new map added to Warzone 2 and the first Resurgence map. Al Mazrah is currently the only map in the game, but that’s soon about to change.
Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Warzone 2 Resurgence map, including its release date, locations, supported game modes, and more.

Countdown for Ashika Island Release –
Warzone 2 Ashika Island Resurgence Map Locations & POIs
Ashika Island will include seven named locations:
- Tsuki Castle
- Town Center
- Beach Club
- Ōganikku Farms
- Residential
- Shipwreck
- Port Ashika
Tsuki Castle
First featured in Call of Duty World at War and later remastered in Vanguard, Castle is set in a Japanese fortress during World War 2. This fits in with the Japanese theme of Season 2 and Ashika Island, making it a great location to bring back.
Castle will only be a POI in Ashika Island and isn’t coming to Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer as a separate map.

Town Center
Navigate through the market’s many stalls as you make your way through the Town Center, located right next to the sea.

Beach Club
Fancy a trip to the beach? Dive underwater or head inside the beach club if you want to take cover.

Underground Waterway
Use the water tunnels connected underneath Ashika Island as a stealthier way to get around.

This article will be updated with images for Ōganikku Farms, Residential, and Shipwreck as soon as they’re revealed.
Warzone 2 Ashika Island Tac Map Reveal
Here’s the official tac map for Ashika Island:

Tsuki Castle is located in the middle of the map, whereas the six other POIs are situated around the edge near the coastline.
