Walmart’s latest PS5 and Xbox Series X restock for its Walmart+ subscribers ended up being a mixed bag.
The restock situation for both current-gen consoles is not ideal, even though it has been over a year since both devices launched.
To date, gamers need to wait for online or in-store restock of PS5 and Xbox Series X units if they want a new console.
Gamers’ concerns grew as restocked suddenly stopped after the second week of January. Since then, almost all retailers stopped usual restocks, and just minor drops took place.
Fortunately, after a long hiatus, most retailers are back to the restock scene. Walmart is one of these retailers that hosted a drop for its Walmart+ subscriptions.
Now that the restock is over, gamers have mixed reactions about it.

Walmart+ PS5 & Xbox Series X Restock Was Not the Best, nor the Worst
Walmart+’s recent restock resulted in many gamers purchasing their PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles. Unfortunately, many also left empty-handed.
With this second restock, Walmart tried to continue its track of recent successful restocks.
As usual, gamers subscribed to Walmart+ entered a waiting queue to wait for their turns to buy a console.
Many gamers received a message stating consoles were sold out. But, this is a common occurrence in Walmart restocks since the stock is offered to customers in waves.
Many gamers immediately shared their joy as they finally got their current-gen console. Nonetheless, many others also shared their frustration.

I was very disappointed that the Xbox drop was tied to the “all access pass”. You can find that terrible enslavement deal available all the time.

Was able to finally get my son his Christmas present after a 25-minute wait in the queue! Now hopefully it will not be stolen by FedEx driver this go round. Fingers crossed and I'm going to try to pick it up at the FedEx headquarters locally.
