Walmart is a major player in the PS5 restock game, but many fans aren’t happy with orders that are still waiting to ship.
Getting hold of a PS5 isn’t easy, even after months of slow but steady restocks trickling out. One of the biggest PS5 restocks in recent history took place at Walmart, but all is not well.
Despite many more fans finally securing their next-gen device, some buyers are still waiting on their orders. And from what we can tell, it’s going to be a lengthy wait.

Walmart March 18 PS5 Orders Still Waiting to Ship
If you’re a customer who bought a PS5 from Walmart on March 18 but you’re still waiting for it to ship, you’re not the only one.
In fact, so many customers across America report lengthy waits for their PS5 consoles, with some orders still a month away. It has now been 12 days since the initial restock, and many users are complaining about the wait.
On the PS5Shipping subreddit, a forum dedicated to those who have secured their PS5 but are yet to receive it, a megathread is forming from all those waiting for Walmart to dispatch.
It seems that all Walmart orders have a delivery date of April at the very earliest. But many of those same commenters will have to wait another few weeks before seeing their order.
One unlucky buyer even comments that their PS5 is coming on April 29, according to the order details. And Walmart customer support isn’t able to provide more details as to why the device will take so long to arrive.
This is particularly frustrating when PS5 restocks at Target can be picked up on the same day. It must be torture to know you’ve got a PS5 but not use it for almost 2 months.
Some buyers even believe that Walmart is listing PS5s before they actually have stock to sell, and then sending the consoles when they arrive. This is similar to the waiting list system that this PS5 retailer implemented.
But it’s also not what a lot of buyers bargained for when shopping at Walmart for their PS5. Of course, some users have received their orders already, but others are considering canceling and buying from other retailers instead.
Meanwhile, this PS5 retailer is sitting on over 46,000 consoles as it prepares for quite possibly the biggest restock of all time.
