Many Walmart PS5 Orders From March 14 Are Being Canceled

Not all restocks end well, and Walmart’s March 14 drop, which has now ended in tons of canceled PS5 orders, is a prime example.

PS5 consoles are still extremely hard to purchase. Since February, many insiders predicted that the PS5 console restocks would continue through the year.

Thus far, these predictions have become a dire reality with no solution in sight. Many gamers still have to wait in long early-morning lines outside retailers to get a console in-store.

While others have to cross their fingers in the hope of making it through checkout during an online PS5 restock.

To make matters worse, even when some PlayStation fans get a successful order, a cancelation might ensue.

This was unfortunate for many Walmart customers who now received a canceled status for their PS5 orders.

Walmart Cancels a Vast Amount of PS5 Orders From Its March 14 Restock

Walmart has sent cancellation emails and notifications to a vast amount of its customers who ordered a PS5 console during the March 14 restock.

This restock was already experiencing some problems a few weeks ago. Several days after the restock took place, gamers reported that they were still waiting for their PS5 orders to be delivered.

For those gamers fearing the worst, those fears have been confirmed today. Several gamers started pouring their discontent into Reddit and Twitter threads following the wave of cancelations.

Gamers Complain About Walmart PS5 Orders Getting Canceled

After the cancellation messages started rolling out, the disappointment was palpable.

One of the main complaints from Walmart customers is the fact that some of them received an “order delayed” email some time ago.

The wait alone was already a problem, but a cancelation in a whole new level of disappointment.

Unfortunately, this has become a trend for several Walmart restocks. Back in January, many gamers complained of delayed PS5 orders from the retailer.

As well, recent Walmart PS5 drops like the one on February 24 ended with mixed results.

Many customers reached out to customer service. According to their posts, Walmart allegedly informed many of them that they had purchased an item that was already out of stock.

This problem ended up causing the cancelation. Nevertheless, customers remained puzzled as it should not be possible to purchase an item that is out of stock.

Even several gamers whose orders are still pending received a delayed status for their orders. Walmart has added new delivery estimated dates for these orders, along with this delay status.

Luckily, some orders are still intact and just under a delayed status. Hopefully, those lucky fans will get the console they have been waiting for for weeks now.

I complained to Walmart demanding a refund of my Walmart+ fees and they added a single use PS5 Blu-ray console to my cart for $399. Still on backorder until May but at least they gave me $100 off.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the massive warehouse fair that happened in Indiana on 3/16?
