Walmart PS5 Orders Are Getting Delayed After January 13 Restock

According to new reports, Walmart PS5 orders are being delayed after the retailer’s January 13 restock.

It’s tough to name a more iconic duo than Walmart PS5 restocks and orders getting delayed. While the huge retail chain often restocks next-gen consoles, it’s anybody’s guess when your orders will actually arrive.

In the last few months, we’ve seen Walmart delay orders for weeks on end, and those are the lucky customers.

Others find that Walmart cancels their PS5 purchase entirely, without much notice.

Reports even indicate that Walmart sells PS5s that it doesn’t have yet, and then tries to fill orders as consoles come into stock.

But if you’re looking for a new console, we know about some major PS5 restocks dropping this week!

Walmart PS5 Order Delays – January 2022

More than a handful of Walmart PS5 buyers are reporting their orders are being delayed in January 2022.

Walmart recently had a major PS5 restock on January 13, but it seems that many customers are still waiting for their orders.

A popular new post on the PS5restock subreddit shows that more than a few gamers are still hoping for their console to arrive. However, many Walmart orders currently show ‘placed’ and nothing more regarding the PS5’s status.

Unfortunately, Walmart Customer Service associates appear to be no help at all with the recent delays. Some members of the team are pushing back expectations with a delivery date of next week, others reportedly aren’t able to give any ETA on the order.

Some buyers are now getting official confirmation from Walmart that their orders will be getting delays. And it seems like gamers will be waiting at least 10 days for their shipment to arrive.

Allegedly, some Walmart Customer Service representatives are confirming this delay is due to Sony’s latest Walmart shipment not arriving. If this is the case, it’s impossible to say for sure when customers will finally receive their orders.

Meanwhile, GameStop just announced a new PS5 restock early, and the retailer should be dropping very soon!

I ordered a PS5 on November 19, 2021. As of January 20, 2022, I still do not have a PS5. Walmart had no trouble with taking my money. I have called Walmart customer service several times. One man told me it would be shipped the following week. (that was in December), another lady was downright nasty with me. A few others told me it was Fed-Ex's problem and I should call them. Fed-Ex tells me that a shipment was set up but no product was sent. At this point, I will never set foot in a Walmart or order anything sent via Fed-Ex again. Awful service from awful companies. Don Do not waste your money or your time!

Mine was also delayed. Most likely stolen from the trains in California. I mean honestly that's where product comes in. then loaded on train. Then everything is stolen. Now no ps5s.

I've read everyones comments and I'm in the same boat. I placed my order on the January 13th drop and was supposed to have it on the 18th. My account status bar was on 'placed' while the account showed 'prepared' and 'shipped'. Me being confused at what I was seeing, I called the customer service and was told due to tje inclement weather my order is delayed and possibly won't be delivered until January 26th. Fingers crossed, I guess. But hey, on a brighter note, congrats to all who were even able to place the order.

I purchased a PS5 on the Jan 13 drop, and I just spoke with a Walmart Customer Service rep. They said it would most likely be shipped tomorrow.
