It seems that all is not well after the Walmart early Black Friday PS5 and Xbox Series X restock, as reports indicate that the company is canceling orders already.
Just yesterday, Walmart went live with a new PS5 and Xbox Series X restock for Walmart+ members only. Despite the membership paywall, it appears that the drop was a resounding success for many gamers.
In fact, we’ve seen thousands of successful PS5 and Xbox orders from Walmart already. But all is not well for every customer in yesterday’s drop, it seems.
But if you’re one of the unlucky few to get an order cancelation from Walmart, the hunt isn’t over yet. After all, we’ve got this retailer dropping PS5 and Xbox bundles in-store on Thanksgiving!
Walmart Cancels PS5 & Xbox Series X Orders After November 22 Restock
Unhappy customers are reporting that Walmart appears to be canceling PS5/Xbox Series X orders after the November 22 restock.
It’s hard enough to buy a next-gen console from Walmart sometimes, due to the site’s many issues. This time around, buyers even had to sign up for a Walmart+ membership to net themselves a chance at the early Black Friday drop.
But all that effort was for nothing for some fans, who report that Walmart canceled their order after placing it.
Twitter users claim that they managed to check out successfully, even being sent their delivery date. However, Walmart later sent them a message stating that their November 22 order had to be canceled.
“Unfortunately, some items from your order exceed our quantity limits”, the message reads. From this, we can only imagine that Walmart accidentally oversold its stock – and not for the first time.
In fact, we’ve seen Walmart canceling PS5 and Xbox Series X orders many times in the past. And it even seems that Walmart appears to sell consoles that it doesn’t have yet too.
But Walmart’s drop is just the start of what’s to come this Black Friday! Take a look at these guides below to see where restocks are arriving next!
