Vanguard Zombies Reveals Shi No Numa Release Date & Details

The new Shi No Numa map will bring back the classic round-based gameplay to COD Vanguard Zombies, along with a few other surprises.

Call of Duty Zombies has had a rocky year with Vanguard. Following up on the success of Cold War Zombies was never going to be an easy task.

Unfortunately, Vanguard Zombies seems to take a step back with its frustrating “void” round-based gameplay.

But this may all change soon. Treyarch has finally revealed exciting new details regarding their return to traditional round-based zombies gameplay with Shi No Numa: “Swamp of Death.”

Vanguard Zombies Shi No Numa “Swamp of Death” Release Date & Teaser

Vanguard Zombies will release Shi No Numa on June 22nd in what seems to be referred to as the “Swamp of Death” update.

Earlier this year, Treyarch announced that they would be working on round-based zombies but that it would take time to implement the new systems and reworks.

These reworks include fast-travel mechanics, Door Buys, Wall Buys, and more of what you’ve come to expect from the original Call of Duty Zombies formula.

Treyarch also announced that this newly redesigned Shi No Numa map would include:

  • All-new Main Quest & Side Quest
  • New area to explore
  • New Wonder Weapon Quest
  • Return of the classic Flogger Trap & Electro-Shock Defenses
  • Remastered Easter Eggs
  • New Dark Aether Story Narrative
  • New Pack-a-Punch Camos

This is great news for Call of Duty fans that are itching to get some sort of new COD Zombies content.

And this isn’t the only COD Zombies getting new content. Cold War Zombies just recently added a recent Outbreak Easter Egg for players to unlock once they’ve finished most Dark Aether storylines.

Vanguard zombies sucks so much, due to the high bar of BOCW. Vanguard should give up trying do their own thing and emulate BOCW zombies. If Treyarch makes a stand-alone zombies they will blow Vanguard out of the water forever. What's needed? Limited parachutes like self revive, limited ammo, breakable floors, campaigns, fleshed out stories, and gameplay similar to RE 5 maps. More enemies that grab or do stunning attacks, like mimics, etc.

COD zombies has a lot of potential, but not with Vanguard.
