Finally, it has been confirmed that Call of Duty Vanguard will feature an FOV slider on console versions of the game.
Field of view, or FOV is a huge deal for first-person shooter games. This is because players who increase their FOV can see more of their surroundings and, therefore, have a competitive advantage.
Not only does it let you spot opponents quicker, but it also lets you survey more of the map around you.
There have been plenty of rumors about whether Vanguard will have an FOV slider, with leakers claiming that Vanguard wouldn’t have field of view options. However, Sledgehammer Games has now finally addressed the issue.
But first, check out the Call of Duty Vanguard Multiplayer reveal trailer.
Call of Duty Vanguard Has an FOV Slider on PlayStation & Xbox
Call of Duty Vanguard has plenty of new features including destructible ‘reactive environments’ as well as the brand-new Combat Pacing feature which will change how your game plays.
However, players have been asking after an FOV slider more than anything else.
Luckily, developer Sledgehammer Games has now confirmed that there will be an FOV slider on console versions of Vanguard.
While there has been no statement from the developer, the official Sledgehammer Games Twitter account has simply retweeted a picture of the field of view settings in the Vanguard options menu.
This is huge news for Call of Duty fans, however, gamers on last-gen consoles should still be wary for now. There has been no confirmation of which consoles the FOV slider is on so PS4 and Xbox One could still miss out.
Let’s hope that Sledgehammer Games confirms exactly what consoles the Vanguard FOV slider is on soon.
To try out the FOV slider, make sure to find out how to play the Call of Duty Vanguard Beta. This will be most players’ first chance to play the game.
Additionally, Call of Duty Vanguard’s Gunsmith will feature 10 attachments slots. The weapons will be more customizable than ever.
Finally, Raven Software has revealed important details about the new Pacific Warzone map. This will be huge for Battle Royale fans!
