Vanguard Players Disappointed With the New Map Designs

Activision’s latest venture, Call of Duty: Vanguard, is shaping up to be quite a mixed bag with players happy about some things while being upset about map designs.

While Sledgehammer has packed in a number of different maps, each with its unique sites and locations, the Vanguard community is troubled with the layout and overall design.

Call of Duty: Vanguard includes 16 multiplayer maps at launch if you don’t include the 4 Champion Hill maps.

The Vanguard community is now raising questions about the map designs and wants the developers to make serious changes.

Vanguard Players Wants Changes With New Maps

Reddit user Then-Committee8207 took to the Vanguard subreddit to discuss some of his experiences while playing a few multiplayer maps. You can check out his Reddit post below.

As seen in the post, the Vanguard player is not at all impressed with “quite a few” Vanguard maps.

According to the player, the new maps expose players from many different sightlines and is not good in multiplayer matches.

“Ive seen a lot of people say they like the map and it makes me question my sanity. These maps are some of the worst I have ever seen on a launch, there is about 4 I like.. The rest are awful, as you said just so many angles to get killed from, you can see why everyone posts up at a spot and does not move.”

Vanguard All Maps Revealed Before Launch

Some players even think that Activision should include more indestructible covers in the big open areas and reduce some of the windows or elevated spots.

This year, the developers added partially destructible environments in Vanguard maps. This destructible nature allowed players to destroy barriers, doors, and other obstacles to create new sightlines.

However, it looks like the new feature is not playing out well for the developers. It will be interesting to see how Activision fixes this new Vanguard issue.

Activision has a lot more in store for players. A leaker recently has even revealed 8 upcoming Vanguard and Warzone operators.

This is not the only issue plaguing the games. Other players are reporting huge packet burst and server issues in Vanguard already!

And don’t miss this new glitch that lets you unlock the Atomic weapon camo instantly in Vanguard!
