COD Vanguard Has Cheaters Already – When Does RICOCHET Arrive?

Call of Duty Vanguard is finally here, but the game’s Multiplayer has cheaters already, ahead of RICOCHET’s integration.

Yesterday was the launch of a new Call of Duty title, and it seems like the script is flipping on Vanguard. Gone are the days where fans were labeling the WW2 shooter as a ‘disaster’.

Now, players are enjoying the game’s Multiplayer mode, complete with an incredible number of maps at launch.

One thing that is disappointing fans is the terrible new Vanguard Zombies mode. With Treyarch at the helm once again, it seems like the developer didn’t have enough time to work on the undead survival experience after Cold War.

Cheaters in Vanguard Multiplayer

Now, equally disappointing fans, it appears that cheaters are already present in Vanguard Multiplayer, ahead of the arrival of RICOCHET.

Cheaters in Vanguard Multiplayer

It wasn’t 24 hours before we began to see cheaters appear in Vanguard Multiplayer. It seems that malicious players already know their way around the Modern Warfare engine.

In the CODVanguard subreddit, fans discuss the cheating situation. It appears that the usual cheating tools, such as aimbot, wallhacks, and more will be making an appearance in Vanguard for now.

In the clip below, we see one player get beamed from long range after a cheater snaps onto their head with an aimbot.

From our own personal experience, we can even vouch for one user with the [BAN ME] tag letting their aimbot run wild on the new Blitz mode.

Call of Duty Vanguard

Speaking of bans, it looks like some users are actually getting permanent Vanguard bans for just playing Zombies. We wish anti-cheat would be half as strict when it comes to banning actual cheaters!

But where’s Vanguard’s powerful new RICOCHET anti-cheat in all this?

Vanguard RICOCHET Release Date

You’ll be unhappy to learn that RICOCHET is currently active in Vanguard – at least partly.

Activision announced that RICOCHET server-side updates in Vanguard are live from November 5. But the PC Kernel-level driver won’t be arriving until a later (currently unknown) date.

In the meantime, December 2 is the date that Vanguard integration arrives in Warzone, both server-side and Kernel-level. And it seems that Warzone hackers are on the rise in anticipation for this date!

Until then, we’ll have to deal with an insane amount of cheaters in our Call of Duty experience, as normal. On top of that, there’s a huge packet burst issue affecting Vanguard players – here’s how to fix it!

In the meantime, we now know when you can pre-load Battlefield 2042. But it seems that Battlefield 2042 will have cheaters on launch day too…

At the moment it‘s nearly unplayable because of the amount of cheats it’s fucking ridiculous and they don’t even have a report button anymore. Sort it the fuck out activision.

Just another billion dollar company ripping off the players who support it. No anti-cheat yet. Played yesterday and had a guy go 102 and 1.. Frustrating as hell. And why should we have to report cheaters when that's you're damn job! Oh yeah.. Reporting does absolutely nothing. Catch phrase last night gaming was report me because they never do anything.. TRUE!
