Call of Duty Vanguard’s release day is only a month away, but now new details have been revealed regarding new maps coming to the Beta.
Vanguard is looming ever closer, but first players have the Beta to experience before the game’s release. Similarly, recently players were treated to exciting details regarding the Vanguard Beta, including maps, game modes, weapons & more.
Furthermore, whilst we already know that Vanguard will be launching with 20 Multiplayer maps, players are eager to jump into the Beta to explore these maps for themselves.
Interestingly, now we know what these maps will look like, with multiple sources claiming that players will have a varied selection to choose from during the Beta.
But first, here is how to play the Call of Duty Vanguard Beta, including its release date and more.
Vanguard Beta Maps
Recently, Tom Henderson has been a key source for both Vanguard and Battlefield 2042. Now, Henderson has revealed what the Beta maps will look like.
Firstly, Hotel Royal is an upcoming map that will be set within Paris. Furthermore, according to the leak, Hotel Royal will take place at night and on a rooftop. Despite it being night-time, according to Henderson, it will not work like a night-map in traditional Call of Duty style.
Hotel Royal is NOT a “night map” in the sense you have night vision. It’s just set at night and everything is illuminated by air raid lights, fire etc. It looks pretty cool.@_Tom_Henderson_
However, that’s not all, Interestingly enough Hotel Royal will be set during the middle of a raid, with the city in the midst of an attack. This means that there will be plenty of visibility within Hotel Royal.
Next up is Gavutu, rather unsurprisingly Gavutu is a small islet in the Central Province of the Solomon Island. Therefore, it’s not too much of a leap to expect that this map will be set on a beach.
However, another insider has revealed new details regarding this beta map. MW2 OG, who has proven a reliable source in the past had the following to say:
The map ‘Gavutu’ is the beach map I reported on awhile ago. There’s a boat in the center of the map.@TheMW2Ghost
Interestingly, Red Star will be one of the largest Vanguard Beta maps. From what we know so far, Red Star will feature snow and will be set amidst the historic Battle of Stalingrad.
Eagle’s Nest is a map that will be available during Weekend 2 of the Vanguard Beta. However, MW2 OG has shared new details regarding what the map will look like:
Eagle’s Nest is the map me and a few others were talking about last month. Nazi home in the mountain. It’s pretty good looking outside, dark and eery inside.@TheMW2Ghost
As far as we can tell, Eagle’s Nest is going for a dark and eery vibe in order to mimic its sinister undertones. There will also be snow around the exterior of the building.

Furthermore, Call of Duty Vanguard is bringing back the Riot Shield, a primary weapon that blocks all fire when held.
There are also a number of problems that need to be addressed before the game’s release, such as Vanguard’s Blind Fire issue which JGOD claims is “a huge problem”.
