There’s a new gun to unlock in Warzone & MW2 but to get the M13C you’ll need to take part in MW3’s reveal event – Operation Shadow Siege!
The new Shadow Siege event is finally here, and fans are primarily excited for two reasons:
Firstly, the Warzone event will hint at what we can expect on November 10 from Sledgehammer Games’ new title: Modern Warfare 3.
And secondly, this is currently the only way for players to unlock a brand-new assault rifle, the M13C, in both Warzone & MW2.
How to Unlock M13C in Warzone / MW2
To unlock the M13C in both Warzone and MW2, players must complete the following challenge in Shadow Siege (the MW3 reveal event in Warzone): Assist in killing five commanders.
Juggernauts, Boss Choppers, and Wheelsons all count towards this challenge. To assist in killing these commanders, you will need to contribute at least some damage towards their death.
Operation Shadow Siege will be available to play until August 21 at 10:30 AM PT / 1:30 PM ET / 6:30 PM BST.
Activision recently revealed that players who take part in Operation Shadow Siege will be able to unlock a variety of rewards, including the new M13C assault rifle.

Also up for grabs is an Emblem, Calling Card, Vehicle Skin, Weapon Charm, and Battle Token Tier Skip, leaving the new gun as the event’s ultimate reward.
“The .300 BLK counterpart to the M13B, this full-auto Assault Rifle is versatile and hard-hitting as a main weapon or sniper support secondary,” the Season 5 blog reads.
Once you’ve unlocked the M13C in Warzone & MW2, the weapon will even Carry Forward into MW3, along with the rest of your roster! But if you miss out, don’t worry – there’s sure to be another way to unlock the gun.
Can You Unlock the M13C After MW3 Reveal Event?
If you miss out on taking part in the MW3 reveal event, don’t worry. Although Activision hasn’t revealed another way to unlock the gun, this is unlikely to be the only way to get your hands on the M13C.
After all, there has never been another weapon that’s been completely locked behind playing in a particular event.
We’d guess that the M13C will become unlockable via both a regular in-game challenge and via Store Bundles in the near future.
On top of that, if you come across the weapon (or have it dropped for you by a friend) in Warzone DMZ, you’ll be able to extract with it and unlock the gun in record time.
