In one of Twitch Rivals’ strangest events to date, Tyler1 announces an upcoming $10,000 Twitch Rivals powerlifting competition.
Twitch Rivals is host to the most competitive side of gaming. Whether you watch Warzone, Fortnite, League of Legends, Apex Legends, or more, you can bet Twitch Rivals has set up a competition for it.
But occasionally, Twitch streamers like to compete in events outside of gaming. And it looks as though the strongest personalities in the industry are getting ready to prove themselves in a whole new way.
With a whopping $10,000 prize pool up for grabs, Twitch Rivals is announcing a powerlifting competition hosted by none other than Tyler1 himself.
But the new biggest streamer on Twitch will not be attending this one.
Twitch Rivals Powerlifting Competition Details
Twitch Rivals is hosting a rather unique event that will have streamers flexing – but not with their gaming skills. In a new powerlifting competition, Tyler1 will host the Loltyler1 Power Meet that’s only for the fittest creators.
With $10,000 up for grabs, streamers will be split into two teams of five. Each participant will be competing in four exercises each, from a mixture of lifts and bodyweight exercises.
Squats, deadlifts, bench presses, pull-ups, and push-ups will all be judged in the Twitch Rivals powerlifting extravaganza. In terms of judging, competitors will be scored on maximum weight lifted or the number of reps in a given time.
It’s fair to say that xQc won’t be competing after a GTA 5 robbery made the streamer almost pass out. Popular muscleman Dr Disrespect is also banned from taking part, due to his ongoing Twitch ban.
Each team must work together to secure the win, with some of Twitch’s biggest fitness personalities taking part. We know that Tyler 1 himself is a contestant, alongside his girlfriend Macaiyla.
WoW streamer and bodybuilder Bajheera will be taking part, alongside MartiniMonsters, TominationTime, Sonii, Ben Rice, and more.
Despite being an obvious candidate for hosting a powerlifting event, this is the first time Tyler1 has ever done anything like this on Twitch.
“It’s gonna be the first time I’ve ever done anything-wise on Twitch ever…” the streamer announces. “I know people have been asking for it for a long time – we’re actually doing that!”
When is Twitch Rivals’ Powerlifting Competition Taking Place?
The Twitch Rivals powerlifting event will take place on April 19 at 12PM PT, over on Tyler’s channel loltyler1.
In other Twitch news, Ludwig finally finished his 31 day subathon after becoming the biggest streamer of all time. But despite now having the highest sub count on Twitch, Ludwig earned a shockingly low amount from his subathon.
Streamer xQc is now unbanned from GTA 5 RP for the final time. However, going by past trends, it’s only a matter of time before the streamer leaves the server once again.
Meanwhile Mizkif’s recent reverse Twitch subathon was shut down by Rihanna herself!
