Top 5 Best Staffs to Use in Elden Ring

Elden Ring’s spells and magic can do some serious damage to tough enemies, but you need a good Staff to utilize them. Here are the Best Staffs in Elden Ring!

Whether you’re using the incredibly powerful Comet Azur, or you’re simply using the Glintstone Shard, Elden Ring’s spells are insanely fun.

But having great spells is only half of what you need. You also need a good Staff to ensure that you can be the best sorcerer in The Lands Between.

These are the best Staffs you can get your hands on in Elden Ring!

Elden Ring: Most Powerful Staffs for Spellcasting

Spells in Elden Ring are seriously useful for many different situations. But using them successfully requires a decent Staff too.

5. The Astrologer’s Staff / The Glintstone Staff

Elden Ring Best Staffs - Astrologer Staff

These Staffs aren’t anything too special, but thanks to their decent Intelligence scaling and how easy they are to get, they’re pretty good. If you’re wanting to be flexible with your current build, these Staffs are perfect.

The Astrologer’s Staff can be found with the Nomadic Merchant in Liurnia of the Lakes. Or, as starting equipment for the Astrologer Class.

Similarly, the Glintstone Staff comes with the Prisoner Class when starting the game. It can also drop from Noble Sorcerers in Caria Manor, which is where you can find the Sword of Night and Flame.

4. Staff of the Guilty

Elden Ring Best Staffs - Staff of the Guilty

The Staff of the Guilty is a more difficult one to loot compared to the previous entry in this list, as it is an uncommon drop from red-robed cultists in Fort Laiedd, located in Mt. Gelmir. It’s also stranger as it scales with Faith instead of Intelligence.

However, it has fewer stat requirements than many other Staffs in this list, making it great for both Magic builds and those who need a Staff to utilize their spells. It also boosts Thorn Sorcery, which is niche but worth it if you need that.

The only issue with The Staff of the Guilty is that it requires Somber Smithing Stones to upgrade, which are pretty rare. If you’re not planning to use The Staff of the Guilty for the bulk of your playthrough, it could be an expensive investment.

3. Carian Regal Scepter

Elden Ring Best Staff - Carian Regal Scepter

It can be found pretty early in the game, using Remembrance of the Full Moon to acquire it from Enia at the Roundtable Hold. You can then duplicate the Remembrance to get Rennala’s Full Moon, which is boosted by the Carian Regal Scepter.

Furthermore, the Carian Regal Scepter boosts Ranni’s Dark Moon spell. This can inflict up to 30% magic debuff on enemies and bosses alike, with the spell doing enhanced damage from the staff.

Unfortunately, it requires an INT stat of 60 to actually use the staff. But, thanks to it being easy to access and its focus on Moon Sorcery, it is a great general-purpose staff for those building the best Sorcerer.

While the Carian Regal Scepter may not be the best Staff in the game, it does win the award for best looking.

2. Lusat’s Glintstone Staff

Elden Ring Best Staff - Lusat's Glintstone Staff

While Lusat’s Glintstone Staff asks for a high 52 INT requirement to be able to cast with it, it’s a ridiculously strong Staff.

It’s a very powerful Staff, which can be upgraded using Somber Smithing Stones (unlike the Meteorite Staff, which can’t be upgraded at all) as well as decent INT scaling.

It can be found in Selia, Town of Sorcery, after defeating Nox Swordstress and Nox Priest. It’s a tough duo fight, but the reward makes it worth it!

However, if your main focus isn’t on Intelligence building, or on magic in general, you’re going to be locked out of this Staff. It also doesn’t have any extra buffs to it.

1. The Meteorite Staff

Elden Ring Best Staff - Meteorite Staff

The Meteorite Staff is the best Staff in the game for many reasons. But one of the key things to note is that it can be found ridiculously easy early in the game, right in Caelid.

Those who started with either the Astrologer or the Prisoner as their starting class shouldn’t struggle to reach the stat requirement, only asking for 18 INT to use. It also has some of the best INT scalings, with an S rating.

It also boosts Gravity Sorceries, one of which can be found very close to the Meteorite Staff. In fact, one of the best spells in the game can be boosted by the Meteorite Staff.

All of this makes it deserving of the top spot on this list. And a perfect weapon for any beginner or endgame Sorcerers.
