Best Overall Weapons Elden Ring

Best Overall Weapons in Elden Ring

These are the best overall weapons in all of The Lands Between.

This doesn’t mean that you’ll be able to use them with any build, but it does mean that it is worth going to respec your character to create your build around these weapons.

Here are the ten best weapons in Elden Ring.

10. Marias Executioner’s Sword

Elden Ring Marias Executioner Blade

Marias Executioner’s Sword’s special skill alone is enough to get it on this list. The special skill, Eochaid’s Dancing Blade, thrusts the weapon forward in a drill-like motion and inflicts bleed damage to the enemies caught in its vortex.

It’s also a greatsword, which means that it can stagger some of the smaller enemies and even break through a shield enemies barrier.

Marias Executioner’s Sword is perfect if you’re looking for a weapon that you can quickly change to deliver some massive damage using the special skill.

You will be able to find Marias Exectuitoner’s Sword in the Shaded Castle after defeating Elemer of the Briar.

Requirements: STR 24, ARC 23, DEX 14

9. Morgott’s Cursed Sword

Morgotts Cursed Sword Elden Ring

This Curved Greatsword is a fantastic weapon for players looking to create a bleed build or just a fast DEX build.

It has a passive of 60 Blood Loss, and its special skill, Cursed-Blood Slice, allows you to charge forward and leave a blood trail that bursts into flames. You can also follow this up with another strike right after.

It’s one of the longer swords in the game, which means you’ll have great range by striking. But its lunge helps you close any gaps between you and your enemies.

You can obtain it by defeating Morgott, the Omen King in the Leyndell.

Once defeated, Morgott drops the Remembrance of the Omen King, which you can take to the Twins and exchange for this sword.

Requirements: STR 14, DEX 35, ARC 17

8. Moonveil

Elden Ring Moonveil

The Moonveil Katana is a weapon that you can get pretty early in the game and use up until the later stages of Elden Ring. So it’s an absolute must for players to have.

It’s fast, and its skill, Transient Moonlight, allows you to sheath the blade and fire off different waves of light depending on whether you used a light or heavy attack.

This means that despite being a katana, it can inflict magical damage to enemies from a distance. It also inflicts blood loss on your enemies.

Blood loss is one of the best status alignments to inflict on enemies due to how much damage it causes and affects almost every enemy in the game.

Requirements: STR 12, DEX 18, INT 23

7. Blasphemous Blade

Elden Ring Blasphemous Blade

The Blasphemous Blade has a passive ability that allows players to gain health back after defeating an enemy.

What makes this passive so appealing is that it functions as long as it is equipped. So if the Blasphemous Blade is equipped, even when two handing another weapon, the passive will remain active.

This can be a fantastic addition to any build, mainly if you’re focusing on bleed weaponry.

Players will be able to purchase the Blasphemous Blade from Enia after defeating Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, and obtaining his remembrance.

You’ll need to make your way to Volcano Manor to do this.

Requirements: STR 22, DEX 15, FAI 21

6. Dark Moon Greatsword

Elden Ring Dark Moon Greatsword

The Dark Moon Greatsword is the harder-hitting older brother of the Moonveil Katana. When its Moon Greatsword skill is used, it infuses itself with moon energy that inflicts frost damage.

It also increases the range of the Dark Moon Greatsword by adding a ranged slash to its heavy attack. It’s a must-have in your inventory, especially if you want to create a Frost Mage build.

To obtain the Dark Moon Greatsword, you need to complete the entirety of Ranni’s questline. It’s a long and treacherous journey but full of great rewards and items.

Requirements: STR 16, DEX 11, INT 38

5. Hand of Malenia

Elden Ring Hand of Malenia

The Hand of Malenia is perfect for players looking to pump most of their stats into DEX.

Its special skill, Waterfowl Dance, allows players to perform a series of flurry attacks that can leave an enemy helpless to your relentless advance.

If you go through Millicent’s questline and side with her, you can obtain the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia Talisman, which allows players to increase their attack power with successive hits.

Having these two together seems almost unfair.

You’ll be able to purchase the Hand of Malenia from the Twins after obtaining the Remembrance of the Rot Goddess by defeating Malenia, Sword of Miquella.

This is one of the toughest fights in the game so we recommend making sure you have the best spells and incantations if you’re fighting her as a mage.

Requirements: STR 16, DEX 48

4. Black Knife

Black Knife Elden Ring

The Black Knife is a dagger with one of the most powerful skills in the game. Its special skill, Blade of Deat, allows players to send out a bladelike slash that does continuous damage to any enemy it touches.

Not even bosses are safe from this effect. It’s the same weapon that the Spirit Ash Black Knife Tiche uses which means that if you both use the ability you’ll quickly tear through the health bar of most enemies.

The Black Knife can be obtained by defeating the Black Knife Assassin guarding the Sainted Hero’s Grave in Atlus Plateau.

Requirements: STR 8, DEX 12, FAI 18

3. Sword of Night & Flame

Elden Ring Sword of Night and Flame

The Sword of Night & Flame’s special skill, Night-and-Flame Stance, allows players to cast two different sorceries.

If you enter the stance and use a light attack, it will send out a night comet that is enough to wound even the toughest of enemies deeply.

Its heavy attack will allow players to throw out a wave of fire that can quickly stagger enemies.

If you level this weapon up, you can practically take it to the end of the game even post its nerf in the 1.03 Update.

You’ll be able to find the Sword of Night & Flame at the Caria Manor in the northwestern area of Liurnia of the Lakes.

Requirements: STR 12, DEX 12, INT 24, FAI 24

2. Sacred Relic Sword

Elden Ring Sacred Relic Sword

The Sacred Relic Sword might be one that you haven’t seen too much of yet. This is because the only way to get it is by defeating the final boss in Elden Ring, the Elden Beast.

A not so simple feat, but one that rewards you with one of the best weapons in all of Elden Ring.

The Sacred Relic Sword is the ultimate weapon for players looking to build a holy damage-based faith character.

It’s a special skill, Wave of Gold, which allows players to send out a wave of radiating gold that inflicts damage to any enemy in its path.

This Wave of Gold travels through the ground, which means that it won’t be stopped by a rock or other form of debris as many other special skills tend to do.

Players can obtain it by purchasing it from the Twins using the Elden Remembrance that you receive when you defeat the Elden Beast.

Requirements: STR 14, DEX 24, FAI 22

1. Rivers of Blood

Rivers of Blood Elden Ring

The Rivers of Blood is the absolute best weapon currently in Elden Ring despite its nerf from Update 1.06.

It’s able to inflict an incredible amount of blood loss to its enemies and its special skill, Corpse Piler, allows it to repeatedly hit enemies with waves of blood.

If you use additional inputs for the skill button then you’ll be able to continue the flurry of attacks.

This means you’ll be able to inflict multiple batches of blood loss and quickly kill your enemies.

It’s the primary form of attack in the Vampire Build which allows players to inflict massive amounts of blood loss damage while healing themselves.

Players will be able to find it in the Mountaintop of the Giants in the Church or Repose by defeating Bloody Finger Okina.

And if you want to take this weapon even further then obtaining the White Mask Helm will help boost your damage output.

Requirements: STR 12, DEX 18, ARC 20
