It costs just 7 Focus Points and can be cast very quickly, so it can still be effective even later into the game.

To get this spell, you first need to know how to get to the Consecrated Snowfield secret area. Then, you need to first beat one of the hardest bosses in the game, Astel, Stars of Darkness.

5. Loretta’s Greatbow – INT: 26, FP: 28
If you want to snipe enemies from far away using magic, there’s no better spell to use than Loretta’s Greatbow. Its damage is just as good as its range and it can be charged up to hit even harder.
You can get Loretta’s Greatbw by defeating the Royal Knight Loretta boss in Caria Manor.
4. Carian Phalanx: INT: 34, FP: 26
The Carian Phalanx is one of the best defensive spells in Elden Ring. Casting it for 26 FP makes a number of magic glintblades arch over your head – these automatically attack enemies when they come into your line of sight.
To get this powerful spell, you need to progress Preceptor Seluvis’ questline and then purchase it from him.
3. Terra Magicus – INT: 20, FP: 20
You won’t be dealing any damage with Terra Magicus itself, however, this spell will increase the damage of your other spells by a whopping 35%! All you need to do is cast it and stand on the sigil on the ground.
Getting this spell is a bit complicated though. First, you need to complete the Academy Crystal Cave and go through the elevator behind the Crystalians bosses. Then, climb to the top of the tower and get the spell from the chest.
2. Ranni’s Dark Moon – INT: 68, FP: 62
Now were are getting into the extremely powerful spells. Ranni’s Dark Moon literally shoots a moon at enemies that builds Frostbite and reduces their magic damage negation.
However, it requires 68 Intelligence to use and costs 62 FP to cast, so this spell isn’t for everyone. Although, you can re-spec your stats in Elden Ring if you don’t meet the requirements.

1. Comet Azur – INT: 60, FP: 40
Finally, the best spell in all of Elden Ring is Comet Azur, even if it is only particularly useful in boss fights. This spell fires a massive comet that obliterates everything in front of it.
It requires 3 memory slots and 60 Intelligence to cast, but you can melt through the health bar of any boss in the game using it!

Comet Azur’s FP cost is hefty at 40 but not too high. Therefore, you can cast it multiple times in one boss fight without replenishing your FP as well!
