One feature differentiating Call of Duty: Warzone from the other battle royale shooters such as PUBG or Fortnite is the ability to use your custom classes in a match.
Players are able to equip attachments to weapons, in addition to adding perks to a class. In turn, these loadouts are accessible via a buy station, meaning players can purchase the loadouts and have them dropped for the whole team.
This gives players a distinct edge in combat, because they’re playing with comfortable and familiar weapons they are used to. They also get the added bonus of the loadouts perks.
Below is a list of the best perks for Warzone you can play around with to determine your ultimate perk lineup.
Call of Duty Warzone: Top 10 Perks To Use
10. Battle Hardened
Found in the third perk slot, Battle Hardened will reduce the strength of enemy flash, stun, EMP, and gas grenades. It also makes the player immune to snapshot grenades, which are grenades that paint the target when hit, making their location visible to enemies for a short amount of time.
Battle Hardened is useful in almost any situation. You’ll certainly be facing those pesky flash and stun grenades, which can spell doom for any player. Reducing the effect of those alone is worth it, because as the enemy pushes you, expecting you to be a helpless little lamb, the effects will have already begun worn off.
This means you’ll have the advantage because they won’t be expecting you to be ready for a fight.
9. High Alert
Found in the second perk slot, High Alert makes your vision pulse when enemies outside of your view see you. Having intel like this is incredibly important for winning a match of Warzone.
Being warned that an enemy has spotted you gives you an edge. It could save your life, and the lives of your teammates. It gives you precious seconds or minutes to prepare.
Now that you’re expecting the enemy, you can lay a trap and spring it on them. They’ll be waltzing into the situation assuming they have you in their sights and you don’t even know it. However, the hunter has become the hunted.
Overkill is great because it allows you to carry two primary weapons. Yes, technically you can still carry two primary weapons in Warzone, but you have to scavenge for them.
With Overkill, you will have two primary weapons decked out with attachments. Even better, it’s two primary weapons that you are comfortable with, which means you know how they shoot and feel. This will give you an edge over opponents, especially if they are touting picked up guns they aren’t familiar with.
Found in the first perk slot, E.O.D. allows players to take reduced damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire. The ability to survive a grenade or molotov cocktail is huge. You wouldn’t survive these otherwise, which means you’d be down for the count and your teammates would have to revive you.
But pair this perk with the stim and you’re almost immediately back in the fight, surprising your enemies. And another bonus, the enemy has wasted a precious grenade on you.
Spotter allows players to see, mark, and hack enemy equipment such as C4, claymores, proximity mines, and trophy systems. Players will also be able to see and mark enemy killstreaks and field upgrades. It’s found in the third perk slot.
As I said before, intel is key to winning Warzone, and being able to spot enemy killstreaks, equipment, and field upgrades is a strong advantage to have.
Being able to hack equipment is even better. You can hack an enemies claymore, then lure them out into it, downing them. They’ll have no idea what hit them, and the team will already be down one person while you barely broke a sweat.
Intel, intel, intel! The best way to find out who is around you (besides a UAV. of course) is to use Tracker. Tracker is found in the third perk slot, and allows you to spot enemy footprint trails. You will also be able to see markers at enemy death locations, and hide the death markers of enemies you kill.
Being able to track an enemy is great. It makes you more aware of your surroundings, and you have the advantage of creeping up on your prey. Just make sure you don’t blow the element of surprise!
4. Tune Up
Also found in the third perk slot, Tune Up reduces the revive time of teammates by 25%. It’s pretty obvious why this is on the list! Getting your teammates back in the action is of the upmost importance. Doing it quicker than before? Even better!
Ensure you have a smoke grenade handy when you go in for a revive. This will give you some cover while you revive your teammate. But also remember, thermal scopes have become the new craze!
3. Double Time
If you like to keep enemies in front of you and hang around the edge of the ring, then Double Time is the perk for you. Double Time doubles the duration of sprint while also increasing the crouch movement speed by 30 percent.
This is perfect for outrunning the circle and pushing into enemy territory. Pair it with a UAV and you’ll know exactly what you’re running into. Double Time is found in the first perk slot.
Thermal scopes are the new rage, but Cold-Blooded will protect you from them. You’ll also be undetectable by AI targeting, and won’t trigger the High Alert warning. Cold-Blooded is found in the first perk slot.
Pair Cold-Blooded with the below perk Ghost, and you’ll be (almost) invisible. If you use Cold-Blooded, make sure you have a smoke grenade handy. This will help you stay even more hidden.
Most players are carrying heartbeat sensors or using UAV’s to find players and scan their surroundings. To counter this, you’ll want to equip the Ghost perk. It makes you undetectable by UAV’s, radar drones, and heartbeat sensors, and is found in the second
Ghost is arguably the most important perk to have. The ability to be undetected by the enemy is one of the biggest advantages you can have in Call of Duty: Warzone. Pair it with Cold-Blooded, and you won’t have to worry about thermal scopes either!
However, be aware that if you are playing with a squad and they don’t have Ghost as a perk, then your position won’t be as secure as you think because the enemy can see your squad mates. If this is the case, its best to stay a small distance away from your team. Close enough that you can help them in a fight, but far enough that your position isn’t compromised due to their lack of the perk.
