The Last of Us 2 will release in November 2019. Additionally, a PlayStation State of Play episode will also be coming later this week to reveal the information, sources have apparently told Legion de Jugadores.
The Last of Us 2 Release Date Allegedly Leaked
Yesterday, we heard reports courtesy of another Spanish website (ESGamereactor) that a new trailer would air this week alongside a release date announcement for the highly anticipated sequel.
Now, it appears as though The Last of Us 2 release date will be announced later this week, in addition to a trailer for the game. According to Legion de Jugadores, The Last of Us 2 is set to release in November 2019. An exact date has not been rumored as of yet.
These reports have since been backed via other sources, allegedly. Despite the rumors, it’s important fans remain sceptical of the information.
PlayStation State of Play Episode 3
In addition to reports of The Last of Us 2 releasing in November, they also claim a new State of Play episode is scheduled for May 30th, 2019. Following the second episode, Sony did, in fact, confirm episode 3 was on the horizon, although made no further comment as to what date it would air.
If these rumors are to be believed, then The Last of Us 2 won’t be the only game revealing later this week. Death Stranding has been confirmed to be announced imminently. Additionally, Call of Duty Modern Warfare will also be revealed on May 30th, sources have told Gaming INTEL.
The Santa Monica based studio, Naughty Dog, is yet to confirm the information, nor have PlayStation announced a new State of Play episode for Thursday, May 30.
Naughty Dog’s plans as to whether or not the title will release on PS5, as well as the PS4, are not set in stone. That said, The Last of Us 2 will most likely arrive on the PlayStation 5 console.
For now, the only recent reassurance from Sony we received was that the upcoming sequel is still on route to arrive on PS4, despite official word that the PS5 console is coming.
