The Last of Us 2 Release Date

The Last of Us 2 release date window has been very vague, until now. According to a recent rumor, Naughty Dog’s main game is set to receive a new installment in October 2019.

Ever since the original Last of Us released on PS3, nearly six years ago, players have been very eager to get their hands on the sequel. However, it’s not completely as if fans have been deprived of a new game since then. Following the launch of PS4, a Remastered version was published in 2014 on July 29.

The Last of Us Part 2 Release Date Leak

While there was never any confirmation on when The Last of Us 2 would release, many fans were left to believe that the upcoming sequel would make an appearance way further down the line. Although, if recent rumors and leaks are anything to go by, that will not be the case.

The Last of Us Part 2 Release Date Leak

According to a promotional poster via LawGamers, a Peruvian gaming retailer, The Last of Us 2 will be releasing in October 2019. An exact date is unknown, as of now.

While the leak is a little out of the blue and considering there has been no official word from Naughty Dog themselves, we cannot be sure on the legitimacy of this leak.

PlayStation Skipping E3 2019, What Does This Mean for TLOU2?

Most interestingly, the upcoming PlayStation exclusive will allegedly release prior to PSX 2019, which typically takes place in December. If this happens to be the case, considering PlayStation won’t be attending E3 2019, it is currently unknown how they will reveal additional details about The Last of Us 2.

Supposedly, The Last of Us 2’s release date has also been revealed to a small minority of people, industry insiders to be specific. It’s believed that during Destination PlayStation, Sony unveiled a host of new titles for the fiscal year and TLOU2 was featured.

Naughty Dog on Hiring Spree
