Nintendo showed the first official trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on September 13, 2022, and promised to continue the success that Breath of the Wild established.
Now, a few months later, Tears of the Kingdom is finally ready to reveal the first ten minutes of gameplay.
The Tears of the Kingdom Gameplay Reveal debuted on Nintendo’s Official YouTube Channel on March 28 at 7 AM PT/ 10 AM ET/ 3 PM BST/ 10 PM CST.
This reveal featured roughly 10 minutes of ToTK gameplay and commentary by the series producer Eiji Anouma.

Plus, don’t miss out on pre-ordering the new Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED console here!
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom promises to be one of the final AAA games on the Nintendo Switch. It’s exciting to see how far it’ll push the console’s limits ahead of its official release.
Unfortunately, TOTK will set a new price point for Nintendo Switch games.

What to Expect from ToTK Gameplay Reveal
The Tears of the Kingdom gameplay reveal will be roughly 10 minutes long and will likely showcase new mechanics and the world around Link.
In 2016, Nintendo held a similar 30-minute event with Eiji Aonuma for Breath of the Wild. During this event, Eiji commented on the gameplay while the hosts showed the world of BotW.
But this gameplay reveal is much shorter. It wouldn’t be surprising if the focus was on the new mechanics that Tears of the Kingdom will bring.
Possible Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch OLED
It is heavily rumored that Nintendo is looking to make one final sale push for the Switch OLED with a Limited Tears of the Kingdom Edition.
Although nothing is confirmed, it would likely be towards the end of this gameplay showcase if they were to reveal it.
Tears of the Kingdom Master Edition
There are rumors that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will also release with a Master Edition similar to Breath of the Wild.
With Breath of the Wild, the Master Edition featured an exclusive Master Sword Statue. ToTK already has a Collector’s Edition that sells out as soon as there is stock available and appears on eBay with a large price increase.
If there was to be a Master’s Edition, we expect it would sell out as soon as pre-orders go live.
Be sure you pre-order your copy of ToTK from GameStop to get the best bonus possible.
