There’s bad news for Target customers are PS5 orders are reportedly being canceled after the October 13 restock.
Somehow, finding a next-gen restock isn’t getting a lot easier, now almost one year after the PS5’s initial release. And today, we’re having yet another issue with a PS5 restock.
Just a few hours ago, Target dropped the PS5 restock we were waiting for! But already, it seems that some buyers will be going home with nothing to show for their efforts.
Thankfully, it seems that there’s a new GameStop PS5 drop coming soon!
And PlayStation Direct has a PS5 restock today, to ensure you get another shot at a next-gen console.

Target Cancels PS5 Purchases From October 13 Restock
According to a user on Twitter, Target may be canceling PS5 purchases after the company oversold its recent restock.
Although Target is switching to in-person drops for Xbox Series X/S consoles, the retailer still sells its PS5 stock online.
And when that happens, there’s always the possibility of a mistake being made. In this case, it appears that at least one Target location has oversold its stock and must now cancel orders.
Twitter user lamaraboon states that their local store had fewer consoles than the number of total orders after today’s drop. Now, the Target store, situated in Atlanta, is distributing the purchases on a first-come, first-served basis.
As of right now, we can’t tell whether this is an issue affecting multiple Target stores or just this one. But we’ll update this article as and when we learn more.
If you’re still looking for a next-gen console, you’re in luck! Here are all the other PS5 restocks we know about this week:

Meanwhile, at least some stores are able to counter PS5 scalpers with drastic measures.
But with Best Buy’s massive in-store PS5 restock recently, more retailers are following suit.
If GameStop is considering PS5 sales for walk-ins, perhaps Target can learn from that too.
