Target's Plan for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Launch Day

Thanks to a new ad, we know how Target's plan for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S launch day. In-fact, all next-gen consoles will be available on their release date, but you won't be finding them in stores.

This is because both PlayStation and Xbox consoles will be found online only. Those looking to get their hands on the next-generation of gaming will need to keep an eye on the internet.

According to the Target ad, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles can be purchased online from launch. After that, buyers can select either delivery or choose to collect through Order Pickup and Drive Up.

Of course, each retail store will have its own stock levels. Those interested in the upcoming consoles are encouraged to check Target's website to see their local store's availability.

It's more than likely to be a hectic launch day regardless of planning, but it never hurts to come prepared. And those who know about Target's online-only next-gen plan are certain to be better off than those trying to find the units in stores.

Also on offer, gamers can get hold of a 1 TB SSD for their Xbox Series X or S. This is sure to come in handy, now that we know the Xbox Series S has a lack of storage space.

From what we've seen, Target is one of the clear contenders for the best place to find a PS5 console on launch day. The store isn't the only retailer selling the next-gen hardware, however.

In fact, Best Buy will be selling the PS5 and Xbox Series X on launch day too. Those fans desperate to find a console on day one will have to plan their release day strategies carefully.

NEW UPDATE: All PlayStation 5 Launch Day Sales Will Be Online Only. Sony confirms that all other retailers will only be selling consoles online at launch.
