Nintendo fans have spotted some huge details on the new Nintendo Switch N64 & SEGA Genesis controllers, which will vastly improve the Nintendo Switch Online experience.
Recently, a rumor surrounding a new controller for the Nintendo Switch console was officially confirmed by Nintendo. In the latest Nintendo Direct, two new additions for the Switch console were introduced exclusively for Switch Online Subscribers, the N64 and SEGA Genesis controllers.
However, if you missed the most recent September Nintendo Direct, you can watch it here. Whilst the presentation had plenty of surprises, the most exciting announcement was unquestionably the addition of revamped retro controllers.
Similarly, with the new Nintendo Switch OLED console already being out of stock, many fans are looking to get their hands on some kind of alternative.
Now it appears that the N64 & SEGA Genesis controllers have more features than originally thought. Whilst many believed the new controllers to be a faithful recreation, it appears that this is not the case. Although, fans will be happy to hear that this is definitely a positive.

N64 & SEGA Genesis Controller Buttons
Interestingly enough, it appears that the new Nintendo Switch N64 controller is harboring a subtle secret. Whilst the new Nintendo Switch N64 controller is completely wireless, other features have been added to the controller too.
After Nintendo released new high-res images of the controllers, some fans were able to spot the addition of new buttons.
For those that have trouble with Joy-Con drift, the new N64 controller may interest you. Although, there is a simple way to fix Joy-Con drift permanently on the Nintendo Switch.
Now, thanks to the efforts of Nintendeal on Twitter, new hidden buttons have been spotted on both the N64 & SEGA genesis controllers.
As you can see in the image above, the N64 controller will have ZR, Home, and Share buttons. Similarly, the SEGA Genesis controller will also feature the Home and Share button.
Additionally, the SEGA Genesis controller will also have a ‘Mode’ button, allowing players to switch between 3 & 6 button modes.
However, it is important to note that both controllers will also feature a USB-C connection, which is also present on Nintendo Pro controllers.
