Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 2021 looks like it will be as exciting as 2020, as Nintendo’s plans for the brawler appear online.
Weekly events taking place in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are to continue in 2021. Nintendo confirmed this via their official Twitter account with the reveal of a new star-themed tournament.
The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 2021 tournament will begin on the 1st January 2021 – and only star items will be available. The tournament will run for three full days before concluding on the third.
This is excellent news for fans, as it shows Nintendo’s support for the game isn’t waning whatsoever as we move into the New Year. The game is as popular with fans as ever, and Nintendo clearly understands this.
Now is an excellent time to get involved in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Be it new players or lapsed fans. Just be sure to download the latest updates to the game when you do.

In the past few days, Final Fantasy 7 villain Sephiroth has joined the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster. So lock up your flower selling daughters.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 10.1.0 was also added alongside the silver-haired menace, bringing a cavalcade of Final Fantasy related goodies.
The Nintendo Switch really seems to be upping its online gaming efforts in late 2020 and as we head towards 2021. They recently updated the console itself with more online features.
Now, this may just be good console maintenance and/or development, or it represents something bigger and more interesting. – Such as preparation for the Nintendo Switch Pro, or whatever Nintendo decides to call the console when it is inevitably revealed to us.
