Universal Studios Japan has released a brand new virtual tour of their upcoming Super Nintendo World amusement park.
The park, which will feature rides and attractions all based around popular Nintendo characters and franchises, is set to open next month on February 4th.
The expansive theme park features an extremely vibrant look. The park is inspired by Nintendo games with matching architecture, scenery, and in-game locations.
Earlier this year, a huge announcement revealed Super Nintendo World's opening date and many images from inside the amusement park.
If you are a big Nintendo fan you have a lot to look forward to, Nintendo teased their first non-Mario character at Super Nintendo World.
So, perhaps there are a few surprises in store for those lucky enough to go and experience it.
Super Nintendo World Virtual Tour
The Super Nintendo World virtual tour is a new experience that will take visitors through the expansive theme park.
You can take a look at the tour here. You will be able to see exactly what you can expect from Super Nintendo World when it opens.
Amongst many of the large attractions, the first on the virtual tour is Mario Kart Koopa's Challenge, which brings to life iconic Mario Kart courses and gameplay.
Utilizing cutting-edge technology you will be able to race other visitors and challenge enemies with shells.
Featuring a four-person capacity with two people per row you're bound to have an adrenaline-fueled time.
The second stop on the tour is Yoshi's Adventure. In this attraction, you must hang on to everyone's favorite dinosaur as you search for Captain Toad on a treasure hunt.
It's important to note, these rides are part of the first phase of attractions available at Super Nintendo World.
In the future Universal Studio Japan has plans to expand its amusement park and add an additional Donkey Kong-themed area.
You should be able to see the amount of care that has been taken to replicate the Mushroom Kingdom in the Super Nintendo World tour.
Surprisingly, ¥6 billion JPY is the running total put into the ambitious project thus far. As a result, you can expect a level of quality that rivals Nintendo's own game-making prowess.
Nintendo Theme Park - Interactivity
The amusement park will feature an interactive "Power-up Band" system which will unlock ride features, keep scores and enable interactive elements around the park.
As you explore Super Nintendo World use the wristband to collect keys and coins. Interestingly, the website states that "A Power-Up Band can be used for additional game experiences".
There are many more features on display in the Super Nintendo World tour. You'll be able to grab a snack or two at Kinopio's Cafe (Toad's Cafe) restaurant.
Some items you will want to order include the 'Mario Burger', the 'Super Mushroom Pizza Bowl' and 'Question Block Tiramisu'.
The gift shop will be themed around the iconic 1-UP item in Super Mario Bros. Furthermore, the entrance to this particular attraction will involve you entering through a warp pipe, in true Super Mario-style.
So, if you are in need of a pair of Mario mustache glasses or a Yoshi plush, this is where you'll want to head to.
The ultimate goal of Universal Studio Japan's Super Nintendo World will be to infiltrate Bowser Jr.'s Lair and take him head-on. Do you think you have what it takes?
