Twitch Streamer Is Playing Black Ops Cold War With a Rock Band Guitar

There's a new way to play Black Ops Cold War, as a streamer shows off their skills with a Rock Band Guitar.

Imagine loading into a game of Black Ops Cold War, getting taken out by a streamer, and then learning that the streamer in question was using a Rock Band Guitar as a controller.

This could actually be the case for some gamers, as it turns out that the feat is, in fact, possible.

Twitch streamer TheStevieP is a variety streamer with a fair bit of talent on the guitar. Previously, the gamer has beaten titles such as Castlevania and Super Mario Bros. using nothing more than his trusty Rock Band controller.

But now the streamer is taking his talents into the latest Call of Duty. With his guitar in hand, it seems that TheStevieP can at least contribute to a match.

In a new clip shared to the Black Ops Cold War subreddit, TheStevieP proves that the strange controller can still be useful in-game. In fact, he's even able to get the drop on one unsuspecting enemy.

We can't imagine that it's easy to aim with a guitar for a controller, so the streamer makes use of the HAUER 77 shotgun. Even with this powerful close-range weapon in hand, killing an enemy is no easy feat.

That said, in a messy encounter with an enemy player in Miami, the streamer manages to land a headshot kill that instantly eliminates their foe. Considering just how much TheStevieP celebrates afterward, we'd imagine it took quite a while to finally get this shot.

If your teammates are ever barely making an impact on a match, consider the fact that they could well be using a Rock Band guitar too.

This isn't the first time we've seen someone making use of a Rock Band controller in this way, however. Back in 2014, one gamer succeeded in their attempts to beat Dark Souls using a Rock Band guitar, and there have been dozens of similar success stories since that point.

But it's good to see that the tradition is continuing even into 2020. Who knows, perhaps TheStevieP will be topping leaderboards with a little more practice?
