Is Stranger Things Coming Back to Fortnite?

Yes, it seems that Stranger Things could well be returning to Fortnite, as new assets from the series begin appearing in the game files. Not only was Vecna’s Grandfather Clock found in a recent datamine, but the Stranger Things set’s Tendrils wrap just got a new update.

According to Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, the Tendrils wrap just got a new update for Fortnite’s latest Item Shop design. This sort of adjustment usually comes shortly before an item returns to the store, to get the assets ready to be added to the menus.

The last time that the Stranger Things content (including the iconic Chief Hopper and Demogorgon skins) was seen in the Item Shop was over 1000 days ago. This means the collab items missed the release of Stranger Things Season 4.

Seeing as Season 5 isn’t expected to go into production until May 2023, we’re not getting any more show content for a while yet. But in spite of that fact, it seems that Stranger Things could surface in Fortnite before too long.

But first, a new horror IP is coming to Fortnite and it has fans of the popular game very excited!

Stranger Things Grandfather Clock Leak in Fortnite

Even more evidence that Stranger Things is about to make a welcome return arrived in after the Fortnite v22.10 downtime. Dataminers quickly discovered a ‘grandfather clock’ asset in the game’s files following the minor update.

This type of clock was a major plot point surrounding Vecna, Stranger Things Season 4’s main antagonist. During this season, Vecna’s victims would consistently see a grandfather clock as a sign that they were about to be attacked.

Due to how prominent this clock was in Stranger Things, its presence in the game files certainly is interesting. For now though, it’s worth noting that Stranger Things is not confirmed to return, and fans can only speculate as to whether or not it’ll appear again soon.

As for whether or not we’ll finally get this Stranger Things Vecna skin in Fortnite if the collab ever does return, we’ll have to wait and see!

Right now, it actually seems more likely than ever that Peter Griffin from Family Guy is coming to Fortnite. And if the animated character is making the cut, we can only hope that Vecna is too.
