Starfield fans hoping to play on day one may want to download the latest patch in advance, as it is surprisingly large.
Despite Starfield releasing in just a few days, Bethesda is already distributing patches to ensure that players have the perfect experience at launch.
Fortunately, you’ve got a few days to download the Day One Starfield update, which looks set to improve performance and provide other general fixes.
Starfield Day One Patch
The Starfield Day One patch, or v.1.7.23.0, has been released, and players who have pre-ordered any edition of the game can download it now.
Here are the file sizes for the Day One patch on Xbox and PC:
- Xbox – 15.48 GB
- PC – 13.4 GB
This brings the total Xbox file size up to 101.1GB before launch. However, this is, of course, subject to change with any other potential updates released before September 1.
While there aren’t official patch notes for the Starfield Day One patch, Insider Gaming claims the update fixes performance, visual, quest, and gameplay issues.
