Is Star Wars returning to Fortnite this May 4 for Star Wars Day? New leaks certainly suggest this is the case.
As part of a promotion for the most recent Star Wars trilogy, Disney teamed up with Epic Games once more to release content from a Galaxy Far, Far Away in Fortnite.
Players were able to get their hands on skins for Rey, Kylo Ren, and a Sith Trooper, as well as going hands-on with Lightsabers in-game.
Now, it seems that Star Wars Day 2022 (AKA May 4) could be bringing back the popular content. Recent leaks have suggested that perhaps Star Wars items would return alongside the Obi-Wan Kenobi show on May 27.
Now, it seems that the crossover will be appearing even sooner than expected.
Fortnite x Star Wars Crossover Returning on May 4?
It seems that Star Wars could be back in Fortnite before too long, with a May 4 date seeming most likely.
Allegedly, Epic Games has recently altered all Star Wars cosmetics in-game, making them compatible with the new Item Shop. This suggests that the popular content will be making its return very soon, but there’s more evidence pointing towards an imminent drop.
According to FortniteNews, Epic Games just fixed a Star Wars string in the code that references Lightsabers, a sure sign that the unique melee weapons will be returning.
Furthermore, leakers seem to believe that an Imperial Stormtrooper NPC will be arriving in Fortnite soon, and Darth Vader himself is supposedly dropping next season too.
Of course, all this is just a rumor for now, but it seems extremely likely to be correct. Unfortunately, the recent Attack on Titan skins in Fortnite leak is all but proven to be false.
After all, the ‘Rumbling’ leak seems to have been pointing towards the new Street Fighter characters who are available now!
