Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has hit Mostly Negative reviews on Steam after being live for barely a few hours due to the game’s terrible performance on PC.
If you’re thinking of picking the game up on PC, you may want to wait a while, as the reviews have a lot of things to say about performance, and none of it is nice.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Mostly Negative Reviews Explained
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Mostly Negative review score on Steam is almost entirely due to the game’s abysmal performance on PC.
Despite some players enjoying the game, most have reported lag, stuttering, and generally poor performance. This is regardless of how low their settings are or how good their graphics card is.
The game has minimum and maximum recommended requirements, which we advise readers look at before purchasing the game. However, even those on the higher end of the scale are suffering.
It seems to be particularly plaguing the first large open area of the game, Koboh, which sees the game transform into an open-world experience.
We have also experienced lag in this area on PlayStation 5, so no platform is safe from the game’s poor performance.

One Steam reviewer wrote: “3080 is not good enough to run the game apparently,” with another jokingly referring to the game as “Star Wars CPU Survivor.”
It also appears that some users are struggling to get beyond the game’s loading screen, with one user stating, “Even Cyberpunk played better than this game. Can’t even get past the title screen.”
Unfortunately, despite being well-reviewed by critics, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s poor performance has landed it with a staggering 69% negative reviews on Steam.
Hopefully, a patch will be implemented soon to resolve these performance-related issues. In the meantime, players are also reporting problems with unpacking the game on Steam, which we have some potential fixes for.
