Splitgate Queue Times Get Huge Decrease With New Patch – August 5

Splitgate is one of the most popular games of 2021, and queue times are getting a huge decrease after a new update.

If you were waiting for the perfect time to hop into Splitgate, the Halo meets Portal shooter that’s taking the internet by storm, look no further. Recently, the game has been so popular that players have been waiting in an hour-long queue just to play Splitgate.

Now, that issue appears to be a thing of the past! After a few days of server maintenance and a new patch, queue times are getting a huge decrease.

Recently, one Splitgate developer even discussed the game’s anti-cheat, to put to rest worries about hacking. After all, with a lot of people quitting Warzone due to cheaters, it stands to reason that they’d be concerned about the new game suffering a similar fate.

Splitgate Queue Is Basically Gone in New Update

You’ll barely have to queue to play Splitgate anymore, thanks to a new update that boosts the game’s capacity and stability.

Recently, developer 1047 Games was granted $10 million in funding to help its server issues cope with the explosion of players. And now, it looks as though the dev team is putting that money to good use!

In a new tweet, Splitgate confirms that players should no longer experience issues when dropping into the lobby.

“Our most recent patch has given us hugely increased capacity and stability,” 1047 Games confirms. “Because of this we’ve seen much shorter queue times while having more demand than ever!”

We just booted up the game and immediately appeared in the lobby without waiting in a queue whatsoever. But this might not quite be the case for all players.

The official Splitgate Status twitter confirms that the current estimated queue time is around 5 minutes. And in the next few hours, that queue should be remaining below half an hour at most.

This is a big change, as players report that wait times at this time of day tend to be between 1-2 hours!

It’s still not quite enough for the thousands of new Splitgate fans out there, but it’s a huge step in the right direction.

If you’re a big fan of the new game, here’s how to get more Reward Drops in Splitgate! If you’re lucky, perhaps you’ll even earn the coveted rainbow skin.
