When you’re dropping into Splitgate for the first time it’s important to know how loadouts work in-game.
Multiplayer shooters are an extremely important part of the gaming industry, and Splitgate is one of the newest on the block. Actually, Splitgate has been out in beta for quite a while now, first releasing in May 2019.
However, the free-to-player shooter has recently had a massive surge in popularity, and it’s now one of the most talked-about titles of 2021. And with so many people hopping into the online game, here’s how long you’ll have to wait in a queue just to play Splitgate!
We all know the best loadouts for Call of Duty: Warzone and other popular shooters. But with Warzone being “basically unplayable” at the moment, a lot of fans are jumping to alternative multiplayer titles.
How to Change Loadout in Splitgate
When it comes to Splitgate, changing loadout is easier said than done. The title prides itself as being Halo meets Portal, and it seems that this description is certainly apt.
Just like the new Halo Infinite Tech Preview that’s live this weekend, there’s no way to alter your starting loadout in Splitgate. Every player spawns in with a Carbine and Pistol loadout, unless in game modes like Snipers and Shotties or Gun Game.
However, other weapons are available in Splitgate, located around the game’s map. You’ll need to grab your preferred loadout on the fly, much like Halo’s Arena modes.
The one exception to this loadout rule is in Splitgate Custom Matches. Jump into a Custom Game and you’ll be able to set the starting weapons to whatever you so choose.
If you’re looking for a more varied loadout experience, why not sign up for Battlefield 2042’s Open Beta? The upcoming Battlefield title has incredible weapon customization, even on the fly!
Meanwhile, we’ve got a list of all the new and returning weapons in Halo Infinite’s Tech Preview. Fans are extremely happy with how the new guns are feeling, and the game appears to be a return to form for the franchise.
And, like Splitgate in 2019, there’s one more shooter on the block that’s currently flying beneath the radar. And the popular upcoming free-to-play multiplayer title just revealed 2 more maps!
