After months of waiting, Spider-Man 2 fans worldwide have finally got a release date for the upcoming sequel.

Previously, the developers kept their cards close to their chest, only stating a release would land in Fall 2023.

However, we know now when to expect the return of Peter Parker and Miles Morales!

Spider-Man 2 Release Date

Spider-Man 2 will officially release on Friday, October 20th, 2023, only on PlayStation 5!

The release date reveal came during the Summer Game Fest on June 8 and gave us our first look at the box art for Spider-Man 2, which showcases Miles Morales and Peter Parker.

Bryan Intihar, Creative Director of Insomniac Games, was at Summer Game Fest, where he revealed a few more key bits of information alongside our first look at what Venom will actually look like.

The second installment of Insomniac’s Spider-Man game will only be available on the PS5, with no PS4 version confirmed.

Unfortunately, Xbox and PC gamers won’t have access to this game since it is exclusive to PlayStation. Nonetheless, similar to the first Spider-Man game, there is a possibility that PC players may be able to enjoy it at a later date.

Thankfully, players will get to play as Miles Morales and Peter Parker throughout the entirety of Spider-Man 2.

The game will follow both Spider-Men as they meet new obstacles and struggle with Peter’s new Symbiote Suit.

As players take control of both Miles and Peter, they’ll have the opportunity to explore the expanded world of Spider-Man 2 from two very different perspectives.

Players can instantly switch between both characters as they explore the landmarks around Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.
