Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies has both Special and Elite enemies for players to face off against, but which undead fit into each category?
For those new to Activision’s undead survival mode, Black Ops 6 has some confusing terminology to decipher.
After all, some challenges refer to eliminating both Special and Elite Zombies, which can make it tricky to know exactly what the game is asking you to do.
For those of you that are confused, look no further, as we’ve got a full breakdown of all Special and Elite enemies, as well as what each one is weak to:
What Are Special & Elite Zombies in Black Ops 6?
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Special Zombies include the Mangler, Doppelghast, and Shock Mimic.
On the other hand, Elite Zombies refer to both the Amalgam and Abomination.
We’re certain that Black Ops 6 Zombies will continue to add more enemies to these two categories, but for now, this is the complete list:
| Enemy Name | Special or Elite | Weakness |
| Mangler | Special Zombie | Napalm Burst Ammo Mod / Head & Arm Cannon |
| Doppelghast | Special Zombie | Light Mend Ammo Mod / Any Stun or Slowing Effect |
| Shock Mimic | Special Zombie | Brain Rot Ammo Mod |
| Amalgam | Elite Zombie | Dead Wire & Shadow Rift Ammo Mod / Shooting Glowing Eyes |
| Abomination | Elite Zombie | Napalm Burst & Brain Rot Ammo Mod / Destroying its Heads |
Manglers
Maps: Terminus, Liberty Falls
Manglers return once again in Black Ops 6 Zombies, having featured in the series regularly since their introduction back in Black Ops 3’s Gorod Krovi map.

These Special enemies have a powerful Arm Cannon, which fires shots that track the player and knock down any other undead that get in the way. In addition, Manglers can charge at the player and deal damage with a melee attack.
Manglers are weak to the Napalm Burst Ammo Mod, which can be acquired at The Arsenal.
They also take massive damage when players destroy their helmets or Arm Cannons.
Doppelghast
Maps: Citadelle des Morts, The Tomb
The Doppelghast is a new Special enemy that made its first-ever appearance on Citadelle des Morts.
These two-in-one threats are known for their speed, and their ability to lurch unpredictably towards the player, making them a difficult target to hit.

In addition, Doppelghasts can inflict a slowing effect on players with both their ranged attack and their final explosion upon dying.
Leave a Doppelghast alone for too long and it can evolve into an Amalgam, so you’ll want to deal with it ASAP! Thankfully, a weapon with the Light Mend Ammo Mod will deal additional damage to the enemy type.
In addition, players have found success using Dead Wire to stun the Special zombie, holding it in place for an easy kill.
Shock Mimic
Maps: The Tomb
Although the Mimic made its debut back in Black Ops Cold War, the Shock Mimic is a similar, though distinct Special Zombie.
Like regular Mimics, these enemies can disguise themselves as items around the map, before transforming and grabbing the player with their tendrils.

However, Shock Mimics will distort both your screen and radar when hidden nearby, giving players an easy way to tell when one is nearby.
Shock Mimics will neutralize any equipment that is thrown at them, like an undead Trophy System.
However, they are vulnerable to the Brain Rot Ammo Mod, and they don’t have too much health to contend with.
Amalgam
Maps: Terminus, Citadelle des Morts, The Tomb
The Amalgam is another Black Ops 6 original, first appearing on the Terminus map. This Elite Zombie is made up of multiple undead creatures, and it has a grab attack similar to that of the Mimic.
Thankfully, while the Amalgam has a large health pool at higher rounds, they have multiple weaknesses to exploit.

Equipping the Dead Wire or Shadow Rift Ammo Mod from The Arsenal will allow you to dish out bonus damage with your weapons.
What’s more, shooting the glowing eyes on one of their many heads will deal even more damage, helping you eliminate the pesky Elites with ease.
Abomination
Maps: Liberty Falls
The Abomination is a three-headed Elite Zombie that returns once again after being introduced in Cold War Zombies.
Like all Elite enemies in Black Ops 6, it has two Ammo Mod weaknesses to contend with. The Abomination will take bonus damage from players using Napalm Burst, or Brain Rot, so be sure to equip at least one.

Abominations have an enormous amount of health, but players can deal bonus damage by focusing fire on one of their three heads.
Damaging the Elite’s head will stop it from being able to fire its ranged beam attack, so you’ll definitely want to concentrate your efforts on one head at a time.
That’s it for all the Elite and Special Zombies in Black Ops 6 for now! We’ll keep this list up to date as new enemies continue to be released.
And for those looking forward to more zombie-slaying, we may finally know how many Zombies maps are coming to Black Ops 6 in total!
