The fan-favorite Call of Duty map Shipment will be returning in MW3 very soon!
Despite being initially released in 2007’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Shipment has only recently become an iconic map. It first returned in 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot and then made appearances in Vanguard and MW2.
Now, this frantic, close-quarters map will also be coming to Modern Warfare 3. This is excellent news for players who want to level up guns and earn camos quickly!
Sledgehammer Games Announces Shipment Map Will Return
In a recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) with MW3 developer Sledgehammer Games, the studio revealed that Shipment will be returning. Plus, it will be arriving in Season 1 of the game!
Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that the Gunfight mode will arrive in Season 1 of MW3 and will have 6 maps. Of course, Shipment will be one of these maps, while there will be four Carry-Forward maps and one brand-new map, Training Facility.
While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, we can also assume that Shipment will be available to play in 6v6 modes. Additionally, it seems very likely that the MW2 version of Shipment will be the one coming to MW3.

Unfortunately, Sledgehammer Games has not revealed the exact release date of Shipment in MW3 yet, even if we know it will be coming during Season 1. We expect that it will arrive during the season, otherwise, the studio would have likely specified it would be a launch map like Training Facility.
Stay tuned for more MW3 Season 1 news ahead of its release in early December. But, until then, here’s everything we know about Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 so far!
