It seems that beloved Call of Duty Zombies map Shi No Numa will return in Vanguard Zombies.
It’s finally time to get our first look at Vanguard Zombies and the upcoming game mode appears very promising already.
With Treyarch taking the reigns for a second year, many are hoping for more of the same from the Cold War Zombies team.
After all, despite a lack of content, Cold War has some excellent Zombies experiences and an incredible cliffhanger finale on its newest map.
Now, the Vanguard Zombies trailer is leaking early and it looks incredible. But eagle-eyed fans were quick to note the return of one long-time favorite amongst the new content.
Shi No Numa Zombies Map – Call of Duty Vanguard
It seems that Shi No Numa will return in Call of Duty Vanguard’s Zombies mode!
First available in World of War, COD’s first Zombies experience, Shi No Numa is a classic undead survival map. Since then, the map has been available in Black Ops, Black Ops 3, and even COD Mobile.
Now, it appears that Shi No Numa will return in Vanguard Zombies. In the new Vanguard Zombies trailer, we see flashes of Shi No Numa’s remake, but we imagine all is not as it seems.
Perhaps just as Die Maschine draws from Nacht Der Untoten, a Vanguard Zombies map may use Shi No Numa for a nostalgia kick. If so, we can expect an entirely new map surrounding the foundations of the ‘Swamp of Death’.
Interestingly, the original Nacht Der Untoten is actually playable in Cold War now!
Unfortunately, we may not see Shi No Numa arrive in Vanguard on day one. After all, a recent leak reveals that Vanguard won’t have a Zombies map at launch!
UPDATE: Treyarch are now officially confirming Shi No Numa in Vanguard Zombies!
Instead, expect an all-new Zombies experience that draws from the success of Outbreak, if reports are true. But we have details on the upcoming War of the Dead Zombies map coming to Season 1 too.
An HD image of the map can be seen below, thanks to dataminer Nanikos.
We’re still hearing rumors of a standalone COD Zombies experience coming in the future. Given how hyped-up fans are over this Vanguard trailer, we’re certain it’d be a success.
But right now, gamers can’t decide whether or not Zombies is best with free or paid DLC!
