This system automatically checks whether the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 servers are down or up. These are monitoring PS4, Xbox One and PC servers. Please note, in some cases particular areas may be affected and isolated issues have been known to happen. For LIVE updates follow us on Twitter. If you are having issues on Xbox, check our Xbox Live Server Status to make sure it’s not a game issue.

When will Black Ops 4 servers go Live?

The game has still not been officially released and this is why the servers are currently down. Treyarch are likely to put the servers LIVE within the next 24 hours. It is not uncommon to see server issues on launch day, especially with the influx of players this year with Call of Duty Blackout Battle Royale being included.

Why are the Black Ops 4 servers down?

If the servers are down, please be patient and wait. Rest assured Activision and Treyarch have systems in place to detect this fast and will be working on it as soon as possible. As seen on previous Call of Duty Titles it is not uncommon for there to be server issues popping up sporadically or error messages appearing.

Black Ops 4 Reduce Lag / Server Tips

These tips have been known to work in previous Call of Duty server down situations. These won’t work all the time because sometimes there will be a serious issue which needs fixing on Treyarch’s side, however it is worth routinely trying these whilst servers are down.

  • Restart your console (retry this periodically, when a fix goes live a restart is sometimes required to go straight back into a game).
  • Restart your router
  • Use a wired ethernet connection
  • Check your connection speed
  • Limit other bandwidth-heavy applications. This is important for all devices but it can be especially an issue for PS4. Playstation throttles the bandwidth when other updates or games are downloading in the background, this is more likely to cause lag than a critical error.

Frequent Black Ops 4 Error Messages

First Time Black Ops 4 Error Message

Connecting to online service – You are connecting to Online Services for the very first time and that may take longer than usual. This has been seen pre-launch when the servers are not yet live and the first time accessing the game.

Typical Multiplayer Servers Down Error Message

You have been disconnected from the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 servers.

NOTICE – The Call of Duty Black Ops 4 server is not available at this time. Please try for updates.

ERROR An error occurred: King 177 Jaded Mamba – known issue when servers are having issues or down. Players report getting kicked before games finish or Black Ops 4 crashes.

Black Ops 4 Zombies Error Message – ERROR – 845 LUITween, Accept. This has been seen once being kicked from Zombies. It resolved itself eventually though.

Stuck on an Offer Redemption screen (at launch) – Congratulations! You have redeemed an offer and the below items have been added to your store.

Error: Zed 453 Kinetic Devil – PC error message – Reports of this when trying to enter a match around launch time.

Error – Lobby not joinable – This is a frequent error message, often when trying to join other parties or friends. This can be a NAT type issue but is often resolved after a console or router restart.

Error Code 897625509 and 174350744

Two known PC error codes. Fatal error causing game to crash. Treyarch investigating.

Players have been reporting that a simple reboot after the servers were back online fixed it for them. However, there is a 2nd solution listed below.

2nd Solution (use at your own risk). Credit to Reddit user: RockinRollo

Delete these two things:

E:\Bnet\Call of Duty Black Ops 4\players – delete the config file in this folder

E:\Bnet\Call of Duty Black Ops 4\Data – delete the config folder

Launch game, you will have to redo your settings. The directory is wherever you saved black ops to.

An error occurred: Zed 892 Midas Corps – First seen on Xbox One 15th October 2018, reported after a hot fix went live.

An error has occurred in the following application. CE34878-0. Call of Duty Black Ops 4. This is a common error message on Black Ops PS4. The servers won’t necessarily be down but it could be an issue with your internet connection. Try restarting your router or using a wired ethernet connection. If you cannot fix this you should diagnose it directly with Sony to see if it’s due to faulty Sony hardware.

Server Queue Servers are experiencing high volume.

You have been entered into the queue and will be placed into a game shortly. Position X Time Waited: X Estimated Wait X. This is often an issue when Black Ops 4 servers are down, the position, time and estimated wait may increase for no apparent reason. You can try restarting your console, when servers are working optimally there shouldn’t be a queue.

New messages will be added here as we see them or as we’re made aware of them.
