September 2021 Nintendo Direct Recap

Here’s everything you missed in the Nintendo Direct for September 2021!

After an exciting Nintendo Direct, there’s a lot to process in the September showcase! Nintendo had a lot of big announcements for fans, as well as updates on some long-awaited titles.

Although we didn’t get any more details about Pokemon Legends: Arceus, some of Nintendo’s biggest projects did make an appearance this time around. And there was even a controversial announcement about the upcoming Super Mario movie that broke the internet!

As we approach the release date of the Nintendo Switch OLED, we didn’t hear anything new about the upcoming console either. But it’s not like the Japanese publisher needs any help selling the new Switch version either, as the OLED console went out of stock in minutes!

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

It’s time for exciting news for Smash fans, but we’re not getting the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate final DLC fighter just yet! Instead, Masahiro Sakurai will present the final fighter in a special event on October 5 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Kirby and the Forgotten Land looks like the game Kirby fans have been waiting years for. The upcoming 3D adventure offers Kirby the huge adventure he deserves, and it’s releasing in Spring 2022.

Animal Crossing New Horizons Direct & Brewster

Animal Crossings fans are getting the long-awaited return of Brewster and The Roost in November! On top of that, there’s going to be a specific Animal Crossings New Horizons Direct this October.

Mario Golf: Super Rush

Mario Golf: Super Rush is back with its second free update, containing Koopa Trooper and Ninji as playable characters. We’re also getting 2 new courses alongside the major update which is out now!

Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition

A new Disney adventure is here, with the Enchanted Edition of Disney Magical World 2. Explore the worlds of your favorite Disney franchises and interact with beloved characters in this new port of a 3DS favorite.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Known by fans as one of the best Star Wars games of all time, Knights of the Old Republic is back. Although we saw a KOTOR full remake in the works at the recent PlayStation Showcase, the original game will be coming to Nintendo Switch on November 11.

Dying Light 2 – Cloud Version

Although the Nintendo Switch requires a Cloud Version to run Dying Light 2, it doesn’t look to sacrifice any part of the experience. Work alongside survivers and battle the infected as you struggle to stay human in a world that changes based on your choices.

Dying Light : Platinum Edition

Meanwhile, why not try out the original Dying Light in its Platinum Edition, which launches on October 19! There’s no better way to get ready for the sequel, after all.

Triangle Strategy

One of the most interesting titles in Nintendo’s upcoming line-up, Triangle Strategy displays a stunning world with beautiful HD 2D graphics. A riveting story based on the decisions you make awaits on March 4, 2022!

Metroid Dread

The return of Samus in Metroid Dread is something fans have waited a long time for. The game’s new trailer reveals a new look at boss monsters, new power-ups, and the story of Metroid Dread’s Planet ZDR.

Bayonetta 3

Finally, we got our first real look at Bayonetta 3, which was one of the most exciting Nintendo reveals in long time. In the upcoming title, Bayonetta will be able to wield the powers of a variety of beasts to take part in incredible Kaiju-esque battles alongside the game’s traditional stylish combat system.
