The Ring of Starless Skies is one of the rarest Uber Unique Items in all of Diablo 4. With its extremely powerful bonuses and unique effects, we can see why.
It has been confirmed that the Ring of Starless Skies is one of the seven rarest Uber Uniques in the entire game. Because of this, it’s one of the hardest items to hunt down.
Below we’re going to go over all of the Ring of Starless Skies’ affixes and unique effects, as well as what you can do to increase your chances of getting it.
How to Get Ring of Starless Skies in Diablo 4
To get the Ring of Starless Skies Uber Unique Item, you need to be at least level 85+ and defeat enemies in World Tier 4 (Torment) for it to drop as loot.
You can also target farm the Ring of Starless Skies by summoning and defeating the Echo of Duriel endgame boss in Diablo 4 Season 2. Duriel is the only endgame boss to have Uber Uniques in his loot table in Diablo 4.
Because of this, defeating Duriel is the most reliable way of getting the Ring of Starless Skies in Diablo 4. However, you need to first meet a few requirements before you can attempt to defeat him.
How to Get Ring of Starless Skies from Duriel in Diablo 4
To get the Ring of Starless Skies from Duriel in Diablo 4, you need to summon and defeat him in the Gaping Crevasse dungeon while playing in World Tier 4. After defeating him, the Ring of Starless Skies has a chance to drop as loot.
Defeating the Echo of Duriel is the only way to target farm for Uber Unique items in Diablo 4.
This will significantly increase your chances of seeing the Ring of Starless Skies drop compared to any other method of getting Uber Uniques in Diablo 4.
To summon Duriel, you need to do the following:
- Deposit Mucus-Slick Eggs and Shards of Agony in the Pestilent Altar in the Gaping Cravasse dungeon to summon the Echo of Duriel
- You will need:
- 2 Mucus-Slick Eggs
- 2 Shards of Agony
- You will need:
- Defeat the Echo of Varshan in World Tier 4 to obtain Mucus-Slick Eggs
- Defeat Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint in World Tier 4 to obtain Shards of Agony
After defeating Duriel, there is a chance that the Ring of Starless Skies will drop.

How to Get Ring of Starless Skies As Loot While Playing Diablo 4
To get the Ring of Starless Skies as loot in Diablo 4, you need to be at least level 85+ and play the game in World Tier 4 only.
Despite meeting the above requirements, the Ring of Starless Skies is extremely rare with a very low chance of dropping. It’s one of the seven rarest Uber Unique Items in the game and could take a very long time before players see it, if at all.
As you have to be level 85+ or higher for it to drop, you can only get the Ring of Starless Skies in World Tier 4. The minimum level requirement for World Tier 4 is Level 70.
To access World Tier 4, you must first complete the Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon in the Dry Steppes Region while playing in World Tier 3.
When you have met these requirements, you can try your hand at hunting for the Ring of Starless Skies, much like any other loot in the game. You’ll need to defeat enemies, open chests, and take part in World Events and activities to increase your chances of seeing it drop.
Here are a few ways you can increase your chances to see Uber Unique Item drops:
- Defeat the Echo of Duriel in World Tier 4
- Complete Nightmare Dungeons
- Defeat World Bosses
- Take part in World Events

Taking part in these activities will help, but they are by no means a guarantee. You’ll need a whole load of luck and patient persistence to see it drop. Good luck!
