According to a recent leak from HYPEX, rideable flying animals could be coming to Fortnite.

The ability to ride animals was introduced to Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 3 and has been a much-loved feature ever since. Unfortunately, for the time being, players are limited to boars and wolves as their prospective mounts.

However, according to a recent leak, that is all about to change thanks to the potential introduction of rideable flying animals. As with all leaks, be sure to take this one with a sizable grain of salt.

This isn’t the only recent leak speculating that something new is coming to Fortnite, as apparently, new Star Wars content is coming to Fortnite soon.

Are Rideable Flying Animals Coming to Fortnite?

According to leaker HYPEX, Epic Games is working on rideable flying animals and will implement them into Fortnite soon.

Fortunately, HYPEX gave additional details surrounding this claim. Apparently, you will be able to boost (go faster in any direction) and idle on your mount.

Finally, they speculated that this is what the rumored Saddler weapon will be used for. However, that weapon was leaked some time ago – also by HYPEX – and is yet to appear in the game.

What Rideable Flying Animals Are Coming to Fortnite?

In terms of which flying animals will actually appear in Fortnite, nothing has been confirmed. However, plenty of fans have speculated that their introduction could coincide with the upcoming Avatar film.

As Fortnite tends to partner up with newly released blockbuster movies, there’s a very good chance that the Mountain Banshees from Avatar will make an appearance.

Nevertheless, it is worth noting that this is purely speculation. Until we get rideable flying animals, you should go collect some XP for petting your boar or wolf in Fortnite.
