Today is the day that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans have been waiting for, and we finally have our Pyra & Mythra release date.
In case you missed it, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has two new characters on the way. The next fighter to join the game's extensive roster is a two-in-one pick from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Pyra and Mythra are the two personalities that make up the Aegis, a Legendary Blade that endows its Driver with powerful abilities.
Pyra specializes in fire-based damage, while Mythra uses light - but the two are free to swap between one another. This comes in very handy when adapting to any given situation in Xenoblade, but it also works well in Smash.
Just yesterday, a new leak revealed a potential release date for the new Smash characters.
Now, we know exactly when we'll be able to play as both Pyra and Mythra in Smash Bros Ultimate.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Pyra and Mythra Release Date
The 79th and 80th fighters to come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Pyra and Mythra, will release later today!
This news comes after the recent "Mr. Sakurai Presents" livestream, where the Smash Bros creator discussed the new fighters at length.
Now that we know when Pyra and Mythra will be joining the fight, fans are already turning their attention to the next 2 DLC slots.
However, thanks to a new leak, we may already know which two characters will be the final Smash Ultimate DLC. And if this leak turns out to be correct, we're pretty happy with the picks!
Those who are a fan of the Kingdom Hearts franchise may also be happy to hear that there's a way to get Sora in Smash Bros Ultimate right now. Even if the character doesn't release as DLC, he's available in-game, thanks to some talented individuals.
But a new cut character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has fans upset over what could have been.
