As we head deeper in October 2021, it seems that PS5 and Xbox Series X stock is improving! But it won’t stay that way for long.
In a few more weeks we’ll be at the one-year anniversary of the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Despite this fact, the next-gen consoles are still incredibly hard to find, unless you know where to look.
Recently, we’ve seen an uptick of PS5 and Xbox Series X drops in October, but we don’t expect it to remain this way.
After all, with new next-gen supply issues at America’s ports, it’s no wonder that this month got off to a slow start. And next comes the Christmas rush which is sure to only increase demand.
Although GameStop is gearing up for another in-store PS5 restock this month, we don’t expect many more restocks like this.
And scalpers are still so active that even the Xbox Series X Mini Fridge is selling for ridiculous prices on eBay!
PS5 & Xbox Series X Restock Drops Improving in October 2021?
It appears that PS5 and Xbox Series X restocks are becoming more frequent in October 2021.
After a shaky start to the month, we’re seeing a lot more PS5 and Xbox Series X restocks begin to show their faces.
Furthermore, while GameStop is one of the more reliable restockers, next-gen hunters will know that the store only tends to go live with drops for Pro members.
Thankfully, new customers can now claim an exclusive discount on GameStop’s PowerUp Rewards Pro membership and get early access to next-gen restocks.
There’s more good news too, as you can now get Xbox Series X/S consoles in-store at Target! No longer are Xbox fans forced to wait for painful online restocks for a shot at the devices.
And it seems as though Walmart may have more PS5, Xbox Series X, and Switch OLED this Black Friday!
PS5 and Xbox Series X Shortage Will Continue
But as good as all this news sounds, the next-gen shortage isn’t over just yet.
After all, predictions indicate that the PS5 and Xbox Series X stock shortage will continue into 2022.
Right now, we’re still in the middle of a global chip shortage, which means that both PS5 and Xbox production is being throttled.
On top of that, there are thousands of gamers still looking for a next-gen console. And they’re soon to be joined by even more hungry consumers this holiday season.
Despite this, for the first time in 34 months, the Nintendo Switch just lost the title of best-selling monthly console to the PS5.
Could this mean that we’re finally getting enough consoles on the market?
If you’re near one of these GameStop stores, your best chance at a guaranteed console is the upcoming in-store restock. Just keep in mind that we’ve seen thousands of gamers queueing for recent in-store next-gen drops.
