Sony Interactive Entertainment President & CEO Jim Ryan recently told Wired some new details about the increasing production of PS5s and how this could end the stock shortages.

Unfortunately, Ryan gave no numbers on how many PS5 consoles Sony is aiming to make, despite previous claims that Sony would sell 18 million PS5s this year. However, even just the fact that production is stepping up will be encouraging for many gamers who haven’t managed to snag a new PS5 because of the stock shortages.
