Last week was a fairly big week for PS5 restock fans, but we’ve got more drops expected between January 10-16.
We’re heading deeper into 2022 and it’s clear that the PS5 stock shortage is gradually coming to an end. Not only are retailers dropping more stock than ever before, but scalpers are struggling to re-sell their stock.
Because of this, we’ve seen a range of PS5 and Xbox Series X price drops online, as resellers become desperate.
However, the next hard-to-find console might already be arriving. This week, we got the official reveal of the PS VR2 – Sony’s new Virtual Reality headset – and it’s sure to be a popular item.
Now, let’s take a look at everything we know about the PS5 restock wave from January 10-16.

All PS5 Restocks – January 10-16
GameStop PS5 Restock
GameStop PS5 Restock Date: January 14
Last week was the week of Xbox over at GameStop. Not only did the retailer drop consoles online first thing on Monday, but it also did another massive in-store restock over the weekend!
We’re still anticipating a PS5 drop at GameStop very soon, and this week it could even be in person. After all, GameStop has now had 4 weeks of in-store drops and they tend to skew more towards Sony’s device.
On top of that, the retailer also offers regular online PS5 drops. But if you’re interested in either, be sure to sign up for PowerUp Rewards Pro now!

Walmart PS5 Restock
Walmart PS5 Restock Date: January 13
It’s now been 3 weeks since our last Walmart PS5 restock, which is a long time considering that the retailer loves to go live. In fact, Walmart is often a little over-eager with its drops, meaning that a few PS5 orders got canceled by the store after its most recent restock.
If Walmart goes live this week, we expect PS5 consoles to be pushed heavily once again. However, you should expect long shipping times when buying a PS5 from Walmart.
After all, sometimes the store seems to sell stock it doesn’t have yet, and then dispatch it when consoles arrive in-store.

PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock
PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock Date: January 12-13 (Rumored)
Before Christmas, Sony was trying to push PlayStation Direct PS5 restocks as much as possible. Now, PlayStation is allowing gamers to sign up for a PS5 restock online!
Last week we actually got 2 PS Direct restocks, suggesting that Sony isn’t letting up in 2022. And we anticipate that even more drops will arrive this week too.
Antonline PS5 Restock
Antonline PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)
It seems like online-only retailer Antonline is starting to get more stock to sell as we head into 2022. Already, the site is starting to push PS5 and Xbox Series X/S restocks more heavily, and that’s always good news.
If you get to Antonline early when it’s dropping, it’s easy to pick up a console. However, bear in mind that you’ll be paying a little more for the device which always restocks in bundle-form.
Put notifications on for Antonline’s Twitter and you’ll never miss a drop.
Best Buy PS5 Restock
Best Buy PS5 Restock Date: January 10-12 (Rumored)
Recently, Best Buy has been surprising us with massive PS5 restocks, and we’re hoping the trend will continue! We’ve had 2 back-to-back weeks of PS5 drops at the major retailer, neither of which were members-only.
In fact, last week’s major Best Buy PS5 restock suggested that supply is finally meeting demand where Sony’s console is concerned!
Could Best Buy restock again this week? Or will a future PS5 drop be locked behind the $200 TotalTech membership?

Target PS5 Restock
Target PS5 Restock Date: Unlikely This Week
Last week, we reported that Target would have its biggest PS5 restock in weeks, and we were not disappointed. Hundreds of consoles dropped at Target on January 6, much to the delight of console hunters everywhere.
Then, only a day later, it seemed that the retailer had some stock left over to sell. Reports came in suggesting that Target had PS5 consoles in-store to sell.
It’s entirely possible that your local store could still have a device left over. However, we don’t anticipate another PS5 drop happening at Target this week.

Amazon PS5 Restock
Amazon PS5 Restock Date: Possible This Week
While it’s possible that Amazon could restock the PS5 this week, the retailer is more than a little difficult to predict. Thankfully, the site has been letting us know that Prime members will get priority on next-gen restocks lately, and it usually reminds fans right before a drop goes live.
Unfortunately, Amazon’s most recent PS5 restock was ruined by scalpers, despite it being one of the largest drops in recent history.
Assuming that the company is back to its usual drop pattern after Christmas, we anticipate an Amazon restock at the end of the month. But we’ll keep our eyes on the site over the next few weeks, just in case.
