It’s been a busy week for PS5 restock hunters and we’ve got the retailers you need to watch from August 30-September 5.
What a week it’s been for PS5 fans! Not only did we get the release date of Horizon Forbidden West at last, but that’s not all Gamescom had to offer.
Somehow, we’re still waiting for the official reveal of PlayStation’s September Direct. The upcoming showcase is said to be Sony’s biggest reveal of the year, and we can’t wait to see more.

GameStop PS5 Restock
GameStop PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)
It seems that GameStop has new PS5 consoles to sell almost every week without fail. It’s possible that the major retailer could take a break as we come to the end of August but we remain optimistic.
If you’re counting on the GameStop drop, be sure to sign up for its PowerUp Rewards Pro membership early. Only Pro members will get the best shot at an upcoming PS5 drop, though non-members do occasionally get a chance too.
We also heard that GameStop is getting PS5 stock in-store by August. If this is true, it’s worth checking your local retailer from time to time.
Walmart PS5 Restock
Walmart PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)
Although Walmart will almost certainly have a PS5 restock this week, the store clearly doesn’t have consoles to sell. In fact, new reports indicate that Walmart is restocking PS5 consoles without shipping past orders.
Because of this, Walmart buyers are waiting for weeks for their orders to be sent. And some users even report their orders being canceled nearer to the shipping date.
However, we also saw that Walmart had PS5 stock in-store for walk-ins earlier this month! It might be worth checking your local store rather than waiting weeks for a next-gen delivery!
But if you are looking to buy online, bear in mind that Walmart’s new Press & Hold button is a nightmare for restock hunters!
Antonline PS5 Restock
Antonline PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)
After 2 weeks of PS5 restocks, Antonline has had another 2 weeks of no PlayStation stock in sight. We imagine that the online-only retailer will be returning to our good graces this week.
Bear in mind that when Antonline does drop PS5 stock, you’ll be paying a little more for your next-gen console. After all, the store always sells consoles as part of a bundle, which actually helps deter scalpers.
UPDATE: Antonline is now live!
Antonline is definitely one of the easiest PS5 restockers to buy from – but you’ll have to be quick on the draw.
Target PS5 Restock
Target PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)
Finally, after 4 weeks of waiting, last week Target finally had more PS5 consoles to drop. In the past, Target has been one of the most reliable PS5 restockers, but it’s been lacking throughout August.
Recently we heard the news that nationwide Target PS5 restock drops are returning! And with that in mind, we can likely expect a return to greatness for the retailer.
Best Buy PS5 Restock
Best Buy PS5 Restock Date: August 31-September 2 (Rumored)
If there’s one retailer that’s been letting us down recently, it’s definitely Best Buy. But rumor has it the major retailer is getting ready to restock as we move into September.
Best Buy does tend to restock between Tuesday-Thursday, so keep an eye out for a potential restock between these dates especially. We hope that the once-great PS5 restock will redeem itself in September.
PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock
PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)
Recently, PlayStation Direct has been off its game when it comes to PS5 restocks. After 4 weeks of silence, the publisher finally dropped stock a couple of weeks back. Then, last week, PS Direct followed it up with a second restock, indicating that its stock issues might be at an end.
However, after 2 consecutive weeks of drops, we’re skeptical that the PS5 developer will be able to produce more stock as we come to the end of the month. However, now that the new PS5 redesign is arriving in stores, perhaps we’ll be seeing an increase of stock across the board!
That’s all we know about the PS5 restock wave from August 30-September 5 right now. Don’t forget to check back as we update this article with all the latest information as it arrives.
Lately, we’ve been hearing new rumors about a PS5 Pro coming in 2023! We’ll have to hope that stock problems will be a thing of the past by then.
What’s more, there’s more news about the upcoming PSVR 2 including its full specs and more!
It’s a great month for restocks, and it’s definitely becoming easier to believe Sony’s claims that PS5 stock issues are coming to an end.
