PS5 Restock: GameStop, Target, Walmart, Amazon, & More Expected to Drop This Week – August 23-29

Another week is here, and those looking for the next PS5 restock are in luck – here are the retailers to watch from August 23-29.

We’re already coming up to the end of August, and it’s been a big week for PS5 restocks. But on the PlayStation news front, things have not been so hot.

Last week we got a major rumor about a PS5 Pro releasing in 2023. However, we imagine it’ll be a wait before we hear anything official on that front.

Meanwhile, we also got new leaks about an upcoming PS5 exclusive FromSoftware title which has fans excited. This year is a little lacking in games, especially with the delays to God of War and Horizon Forbidden West.

However, we finally have news about the PSVR 2, which is going to be selling out as quickly as the PS5 itself. Luckily, Sony believes that the PS5 stock shortage is coming to an end soon!

Find all of last week’s PS5 restocks here!

Without further ado, here’s where you can get your hands on a PS5 restock in the week running August 23-29.

Make sure to check our PS5 Stock Trackers for lightning-fast updates when new consoles go live:

GameStop PS5 Restock

GameStop PS5 Restock Date: August 25

If you want the best possible shot at a PS5 console, GameStop is the place to go lately. Although the company is offering the best chance at nabbing a next-gen unit only to its PowerUp Rewards Pro members, we’re sure you’ll agree that a near-guaranteed console is worth the subscription price.

Sometimes GameStop offers remaining consoles to non-members, although it feels as though that’s been getting rarer and rarer. Perhaps more people are just learning to take advantage of the membership system with each passing week.

UPDATE: GameStop PS5 bundles are going live now for Pro members!

On top of that, PS5 consoles are coming to GameStop in-store this month! And if you’re buying online, be sure to use Apple Pay for the easiest possible checkout.

Target PS5 Restock

PS5 Target In-Store Restock

Target PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

It’s been 4 weeks since our last major Target restock which can only mean that one is ready to drop soon. The retailer tends to go live every 2-3 weeks, and we’re rarely kept waiting for so long.

With that in mind, perhaps Target has been saving up stock for a large restock before the end of August. But past reports suggest that some PS5 stock is being sold in-store at Target!

UPDATE: Target PS5 Restock Drops Might Be Returning

Be sure to check your local store to avoid disappointment.

Walmart PS5 Restock

Walmart Has PS5 Stock In-Store for Walk-Ins - August 2021

Walmart PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

Last week was the first time we’ve seen Walmart miss a weekly restock in what feels like ages. The major retailer clearly has no more stock to sell, and Walmart appears to be restocking PS5 consoles without shipping past orders.

Buyers are made to wait weeks for their consoles to arrive, and some Walmart orders from early July still haven’t been sent. If Walmart really does go live, we’d only buy a next-gen console here if we were desperate.

Thankfully, reports indicate that Walmart has new PS5 stock in-store for walk-ins in select areas.

Amazon PS5 Restock

PS5 at Amazon

Amazon PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

This one is a little tricky to predict, but we feel that an Amazon PS5 restock is just around the corner. The massive online store seems to just drop stock as and when it feels like it, with no discernable pattern.

However, Amazon is the one retailer that’s yet to drop in August 2021. And on top of that, the company recently removes its PlayStation listings to kick scalper bots from the links.

Could this be the week that Amazon finally drops more PS5 stock? We’re eager to find out.

Antonline PS5 Restock

PS5 at AntOnline

Antonline PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

After 2 weeks of PS5 restocks, Antonline let us down last week with no next-gen drops at all. However, it does look as though the online store’s supply is growing over time.

If Antonline goes live this week, expect to pay a little more for your PS5 due to the store’s use of bundles. It’s a little annoying to have to buy a pack-in deal, but bundles do prevent scalpers from snatching up the stock.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

PS5 at Best Buy

Best Buy PS5 Restock Date: August 24-26 (Rumored)

We didn’t get the PS5 restock we were expecting at Best Buy last week. With that in mind, we picture that the drop may have had a small delay, meaning that it’ll go live this week instead.

Best Buy is most likely to restock between August 24-26, so be sure to keep one eye on our stock trackers to beat others to the drop.

PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock Date: August 24

After 4 weeks of silence from Sony, we finally got a huge PS5 restock from PlayStation last week. So huge, in fact, that we got a second PS5 drop just two days later.

Could Sony be returning to the PS5 drop game, or has it simply burned through all of its stock in one magnificent week. We’re not certain just yet, but we’ll be paying close attention to our inboxes and PlayStation Direct restocks always give us notice in advance.

UPDATE: PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock Dropping Today – August 24

That’s all we know about the PS5 restock wave from August 23-29 right now. We’ll update this article as more information arrives, so be sure to check back regularly.

We’re only days away from the massive PlayStation event in September, and we couldn’t be more excited! Plus, there’s a PS5 redesign that nobody’s talking about right now!

It’s a great month for restocks, and it’s definitely becoming easier to believe Sony’s claims that PS5 stock issues are coming to an end.

I live in Alaska For some reason a lot of these companies will not ship up here because of the batteries. Horse crap. I’m left with the scrap options.
