PS5 Restock: GameStop, Best Buy, PlayStation Direct, Target & More Expected to Drop This Week – August 9-15

It’s another week for those waiting on a PS5 restock – here are the retailers to watch from August 9-15.

It’s been a busy few days for PS5 hunters, and we’re hoping that this coming week will be just as exciting. After all, despite PS5 sales hitting 10 million units, plenty of gamers are still on the hunt for a next-gen console!

Recently, we heard about Sony securing enough chips to end the PS5 stock shortage! And that gives us a lot of hope for the future.

But with a huge new PSVR 2 leak, we already know what the next in-demand item is going to be after the PS5.

Most excitingly, if you live in certain parts of America, it looks as though Walmart has PS5 stock for walk-ins at last!

Find all of last week’s PS5 restocks here!

Without further delay, here’s where to find a PS5 restock in the week running August 9-15.

Make sure to check our PS5 Stock Trackers for lightning-fast updates when new consoles go live:

GameStop PS5 Restock

GameStop PS5 Restock Dropping Imminently - August 3

GameStop PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

It seems that GameStop is having a lot of success in securing PS5 consoles each week. We’ve been getting regular next-gen console drops, ever since the retailer began pushing its PowerUp Rewards Pro scheme.

Lately, only those with a Pro membership have been getting a shot at a PS5. However, if there’s leftover stock, it usually gets offered to all customers.

We recently heard that PS5 consoles are also coming to GameStop in-store in August. If this is true, we’d advise gamers to check their local stores!

As one final note, LordOfRestocks on Twitter reports that using Apple Pay at GameStop will lead to the easiest possible checkout of a PS5. Be sure to set it up early for the best results!

Best Buy PS5 Restock

PS5 at Best Buy

Best Buy PS5 Restock Date: August 10-12 (Rumored)

Recently, Best Buy managed to have 2 weeks of big PS5 restocks. However, we’ve had 2 weeks since with no sign of a drop from the major retailer.

With that in mind, we’re on track for a new PS5 restock this time around. Traditionally, Best Buy goes live on Thursdays, however, it occasionally surprises us with a Tuesday release.

Keep your eyes on our stock trackers and never miss a drop when a PS5 goes live.

PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock

PS5 restock

PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

After 3 weeks without a PS5 restock from Sony directly, we’ve got to be getting another drop soon. After all, we were kept waiting exactly 3 weeks for our most recent restock – so we can see a pattern emerging if this week brings us success.

Hopefully, Sony will be redeeming itself with another stock drop this week. We’d certainly hope so, seeing as buying directly from the manufacturer is the best way to get a fair price for your PS5, without having to worry about bundles.

Target PS5 Restock

Major PS5 Restock Target 2021

Target PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

It’s been 2 weeks since our last Target restock, which was the biggest drop in months. Given that the major retailer usually goes live every 2-3 weeks, we could be on track for another restock this time around.

But you may not have to wait so long to get your hands on a next-gen console. After all, it looks as though PS5 stock is being sold in-store at Target too!

Walmart PS5 Restock

Walmart Has PS5 Stock In-Store for Walk-Ins - August 2021

Walmart PS5 Restock Date: August 12

Although Walmart is a decent place to turn to when looking for a PS5 restock, we wouldn’t recommend buying from the retailer if you have a choice. After all, some Walmart PS5 orders from early July are still waiting to ship!

Somehow, Walmart managed to have a restock last week too, although the consoles are clearly not in stock. Many users believe that the retailer is selling PS5s that it doesn’t have yet, judging by the September despatch dates.

That said, it looks as though Walmart has PS5 stock arriving for in-store pickup lately! If you’ve got a local store, it might be worth taking a venture to see if there are any consoles in stock right now.

Antonline PS5 Restock

PS5 at AntOnline

Antonline PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

Last week we were able to accurately predict an Antonline PS5 restock and a lot of console hunters were successful at checkout. However, we’re doubtful that the online retailer will have more stock again this time around.

That said, Antonline is a regular restocker that occasionally goes through waves of regular stock. We’ll be keeping our eyes on the online store this week.

Bear in mind if Antonline does go live, the retailer always sells PS5s in bundles, meaning that you’ll be paying a higher price for the console. However, it’s been known to be one of the easiest stores to buy from – you just have to get there first.

Amazon PS5 Restock

PS5 at Amazon

Amazon PS5 Restock Date: This Week (Rumored)

When it comes to online retailers, the hardest one to predict is Amazon. However, according to new reports, the company removed its existing PS5 Disc listing recently.

What this could mean is that Amazon is taking action against scalper bots who could snatch up the device as soon as it went live.

Could the store be getting ready for another restock soon? We’ll have to wait and find out as it’s likely that the company’s thousands of extra PS5 consoles are finally sold!

That’s all we know about the PS5 restock wave from August 9-15 right now, but be sure to stay tuned for updated information as it arrives.

Meanwhile, we just got a look at some insane new PlayStation stats including total sales, active users, and more!

We’ve also had huge news about a major PlayStation event dropping in September. And perhaps most excitingly, we’ve seen our first confirmation of a PS5 redesign coming soon!

With another week of restocks ahead of us, it’s no wonder that Sony believes PS5 stock issues are coming to an end soon!
