PS5 Will Have “More Exclusives Than Ever Before”, Says Sony Boss

Good news, PlayStation fans, there will be plenty of PS5 exclusives to look forward to.

Exclusive games are really the backbone of every console. Whether is PlayStation, Nintendo, or Xbox, each has its own iconic games and mascots.

PlayStation fans were spoiled for exclusive games in the last generation. There was something for everyone, from fan-favorite franchises Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us 2 to new IPs like Horizon: Zero Dawn and Ghost of Tsushima.

However, a new interview from Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan has revealed things could be getting even better for PlayStation fans this console generation.

This follows huge news that PlayStation will bring its most popular franchises to mobile devices.

Loads of PS5 Exclusive Games Coming Soon?

PlayStation fans are probably already aware that the new Ratchet & Clank game is right around the corner and that Horizon: Forbidden West should also be coming later in the year. However, a new interview with Sony boss Jim Ryan has revealed that they’ll have much more to look forward to as well.

In an interview with Japanese publication Nikkei (and translated by VGC) he said:

“We have been quietly but steadily investing in high-quality games for PlayStation, and we will make sure that the PS5 generation will have more dedicated software than ever before.”

Having more exclusive is great news for PS5 players. It may also add some credibility to the huge Uncharted 5 and Last of Us Remake rumors.

Another exciting prospect that Ryan revealed in the interview is that Sony is looking to acquire more game developers. This would be similar to the purchase of Insomniac Games who made Spider-man PS4 and are currently developing the sequel.
